A bit about me: I started playing with programming languages when I was a kid in the early 90s.
I'm still on a journey to learn as many different ways to build (and break) things as possible. [1/2]

ALT People in security and computing have been saying for years - there's no cloud. There's just someone else's computer. Right now, there's no AI. There's just someone else's work. Stop calling generative text and image programs AI. It's inaccurate and insulting. They are just the evolution of corporate creative theft that's been going on as long as media corporations have existed.
Is ChatGPT becoming worse with time? I just gave it a few texts to summarize and the results are atrocious.
Seeing the communities that are forming on Mastodon/fediverse, Bluesky, etc., I think we'll see a lot of fragmentation in this space in the near future, and that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Hybrid Theory... I miss the time when this album came out - web was still relatively sane place, ICQ, Napster, etc.
Complexity kills. It sucks the life out of developers, it makes products difficult to plan, build and test, it introduces security challenges and it causes end-user and administrator frustration.
