The woman who broke the women’s single-season scoring record. Broke Stephen Curry’s DI single-season 3-point record. First DI player with 3,000 points, 900 assists & 800 rebounds. But Caitlin Clark disappears? STOP INSULTING OUR FUCKING INTELLIGENCE. And I’m tired of media personalities like Jemele Hill, Cari Champion, Chris Williamson and others turning this woman into a racial discussion every damn week. White privilege. Race. Her fans. What she needs to say. What she hasn’t said enough. SHE ALREADY ACKNOWLEDGED HER PRIVILEGE. SHE ALREADY CREDITED BLACK WOMEN. SHE ALREADY CONDEMNED RACISM. What the fuck else do you want from her? And since wealthy media personalities love lecturing Black America about privilege and oppression, let’s flip the microphone: Where did YOU grow up? Where did YOU go to school? Where do YOU live NOW? Before preaching to Black people actually struggling with poverty, violence and lack of opportunity, tell us how closely YOUR current lifestyle resembles theirs. Because racial outrage has become a fucking BUSINESS. Divide people. Enrage people. Get clicks. Collect checks. Repeat. Then these same people wonder why women’s basketball discourse is toxic. YOU HELPED MAKE IT TOXIC. I’ve been called a coon, sellout and grifter by Black people because I refuse to participate in racial groupthink. I don’t give a fuck. I’m Black whether Twitter approves or not. I’ll call out racism against Black people AND bullshit directed at a white woman. MY PRINCIPLES DON’T CHANGE WITH SKIN COLOR. And maybe that’s what bothers the media about Caitlin Clark: THEY CAN’T CONTROL HER. She doesn’t live online. She doesn’t chase celebrity. She doesn’t feed the outrage machine. She plays basketball and goes home. So instead, the machine manufactures controversy AROUND her. You can minimize her. You can omit her. You can make everything about race.
