The Telegraph identified Abdul Qader Ismail as the man behind the Palestine poppy. He is an NHS paediatrician. He posted that Israelis were a virus. He described October 7 as armed resistance that was legal under international law. He treats children in the health service while holding those views. The same service still employs him. Israel already knows what that language means. The rest of the country is still deciding whether it does.

The Palestinian flag has turned into a marker that pulls Muslims and the softer left together against the people who already live in the country. It shows up at the disorder. It travels with the demands that treat the host population as the obstacle. Governments that fly it or look the other way are signalling that the method is acceptable. Israel has faced the content of that flag for years. The rest of the West is now being told to treat the same symbol as harmless. The streets are already showing what follows.

Islam drains the places that take it in. Blood, money, public space. The demand never stops at coexistence. No serious country should keep adjusting itself to the requirements. The record is already written in the cities that tried. The next ones do not need to run the same test.

Muslims go quiet when China is mentioned. The same people who treat every Western restriction as an attack stay silent on Beijing. China runs mass detention, surveillance and cultural erasure against Uyghur Muslims. Camps. Forced labour. Children separated. The political class in Muslim countries still does business with the government doing it. The outrage only appears when the target is the West or Israel. China faces none of the same pressure. The selective response is the record.

Quran 24:51 sets the standard. Believers, when called to Allah and His Messenger, respond with “We hear and we obey.” That is the instruction. No debate. No test against other evidence. The text is the authority and the answer is submission. The political class still describes this as a private faith that adapts. The verse does not. It requires the opposite. The people who follow it are told the correct response is obedience, not scrutiny.

The people in Britain and Europe who hate Israel will eventually see what the fight has cost. Israel has used its own soldiers and its own money for decades against the enemy that targets the civilised world. The bill has fallen on its people. Most other governments have watched, worked against it, or made money from the other side. The political class here still treats the defence as the problem. Israel has already paid the price of facing it. The rest of the West is still deciding whether it will.
