Behind every development priority is a life that could be changed, a community that could be strengthened, and a future that could look very different.
Still reflecting on the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) Global Action Forum in New York, where conversations centred on how we can better finance and accelerate Africa’s development.
Held on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly, the Forum brought together leaders across government, business, finance, philanthropy, development and civil society to explore opportunities in education, maternal health, human capital development, sports and renewable energy.
One thing remains clear: the impact we seek will depend on our ability to turn these conversations into action, direct capital where it can make a difference, and build partnerships that deliver results beyond the room.
At ASIS, we believe Africa’s progress requires more than good intentions. It requires sustained collaboration, deliberate investment and a shared commitment to creating a better future for generations to come.

Despite growing access to digital financial services, many women still face barriers to achieving meaningful economic independence.
How do we bridge this gap?
Our CEO, Olapeju Ibekwe, will join a panel at the African Union’s 2nd Egumeni Dialogue in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to discuss barriers to women’s digital financial inclusion and pathways to economic empowerment.
The session will highlight the role of strategic partnerships, community-based initiatives, and inclusive programmes in strengthening women’s financial independence and decision-making power.
At Sterling One Foundation, we believe that empowering women means creating pathways for them to participate fully in the economy, build financial resilience, and shape the decisions that affect their lives.
Because financial inclusion is not just about access. It is about agency, opportunity, and the freedom to thrive.

The way we think about waste is changing.
For too long, the journey has been simple: produce, consume and discard.
But a more sustainable future demands a different approach, one where materials are kept in use, resources are recovered, and what was once considered waste can take on a new life.
This shift is already creating room for innovation, entrepreneurship and new models of doing business.
Join us for the next ESG Series session, Waste-to-Wealth & Circular Business Models, as we explore how this transition can translate into real opportunities and practical solutions.

Building food security requires more than solutions for today. It requires resilience for tomorrow.
At the Agriculture Summit Africa 2026, Sterling One Foundation joined leaders, policymakers, development partners and changemakers to explore what it will take to strengthen Africa’s food systems in the face of climate pressures, conflict and other emerging challenges.
Our CEO, Olapeju Ibekwe, contributed to the conversation on “Food Security in Fragile Environments: Strategies for Resilience and Recovery,” highlighting the importance of strengthening communities, livelihoods and systems that can withstand shocks and create lasting opportunities.
As a Strategic Partner of the Summit, we remain committed to supporting partnerships and solutions that move the conversation beyond responding to food insecurity towards building resilient, inclusive and sustainable food systems.
Because food security is not just about having enough to eat. It is about creating the conditions for people and communities to thrive.
