The launch of Dublin, Written In Our Hearts an anthology of 21st century writing on the city and this year's One Dublin One Book, commissioned by @DubCityCouncil and published by @stingingfly marks three significant milestones: - 20th anniversary of the One Dublin One Book initiative, - 20 years of The Stinging Fly Press and, - 31st book published by The Stinging Fly Press. The book is available in all libraries & bookstores. Free events in April : onedublinonebook.ie

Our 2025 Summer School runs from June 30th until July 11th. Full details will be announced next week. In the meantime, here are the key dates and the line-up of workshop leaders. Applications open next Thursday.

Climate Issue - Invitation to Submit Pitches Our Winter 2025-26 issue, which we are due to publish in November, will have a special focus on the climate crisis. We are currently inviting pitches for pieces of creative non-fiction. stingingfly.org/news/submiss… We are accepting pitches until March 31st, in advance of the main submissions period in May. We are keen to read work from writers who we haven’t published before, as well as work from those writers we have been publishing over the years.

NEW: After almost 8 years, we're mixing things up on The Stinging Fly Podcast. Up to now, the series has focused on the wealth of material contained in the magazine’s back catalogue and our guests have been asked to select and read a story or essay from the archive. Starting this month, we switch the attention to more recent work with contributors to the current issue being invited to read and discuss their own writing.
