I can understand using permits to regulate access, but extremely disappointed to discover that members of the public can only access the (beautiful indigenous forest of) Orangekloof section in @TableMountainNP if they pay for a private guide.
"A walk in an Afromontane forest is always uplifting..." says the @SANParks website. Indeed it is, but so many cannot afford to pay for a guide. How does this help to democratise access to green spaces?

Air passengers' rights, when on flights from outside to the UK via hubs in the European Union: earlier I tweeted an article saying that our status as a 3rd country removed entitlement to care and compensation.
The government says that is not the case, so I have deleted the tweet.
This is an important story, and thread, for any SA travellers flying to the UK via Europe (Lufthansa, KLM etc). Another wonderful 'benefit' of #Brexit is that no compensation is payable if your final ticketed destination is outside the EU.

It means now.
So when your "immediate payment" takes "up to 2 hours", it's not flipping immediate. The biggest 50-buck ripoff out there.
