Will have to read "Unreliable Boyfriend"
Canada and the US have long enjoyed the ultimate friendly-neighbor arrangement. Then came Donald Trump, whose aggressive trade policy against Canada has led to an all-out trade war. I sat down to discuss with former Canadian Deputy PM @cafreeland. Her new memoir, "Unreliable Boyfriend," is about navigating geopolitics in the Trump era.

51 years? Insane. These guys are all connected somehow. The year Ambode was announced as Lagos governor, we learned at Access Bank that he and Herbert were close friends from their ICAN days. 4 years later, when Sanwo-Olu emerged as the next governor, we found out again that he and Herbert had also been close during their time at GTB. What a small world.

I'd say there is a market of HNW Nigerians who want "foreign" education for their kids but cant afford to relocate abroad for that
Then Disapora Nigerians sending kids back home for education
Wealthy parents now know better than simply sending their young kids abroad alone

Olawale Opayinka, who led the development of Eko Atlantic says when the whole project was being conceptualize that he was looking at the Chagourys as non-human
But the Chagourys were hellbent on solving the challenge Bola Tinubu had thrown at them
The obstacle is the way
Eko Atlantic is proof that even the most ambitious Nigerian dreams can begin to take physical shape.
From reclaimed ocean land to rising skyscrapers and modern infrastructure, a remarkable new skyline is emerging in Lagos.
Imagine what our country could become if this same ambition transformed more of our cities.
Ladies and gentlemen, there’s hope.
Countries like Gambia, Botswana, Uganda had Nigerians as their Chief Justices at different times in the life of those nations
I'm sure President @officialABAT will not mind Madam @OluVerheijen doubling as their Minister of Petroleum to help Equitorial Guinea
Like @OluVerheijen always says, investors don’t do sentiment. If your investment terms are not good enough, they will go somewhere else to find oyel!
Imagine how far Equatorial Guinea has fallen bcos they refused to act sooner.

Welldone Minister @bosuntijani
Does this mean that there is only one tower serving the whole of my local government - Akoko Edo ?
NUCAP is here. Another major step towards connecting every Nigerian.
Starting with the commissioning of our first site in Bende, Abia State, NUCAP will deliver 3,700 telecommunications towers across Nigeria, connecting close to 20 million Nigerians currently without access.
For the farmer unable to reach a buyer, the trader unable to receive a payment, or the family unable to call for help, connectivity opens up possibilities too long denied.
President @officialABAT’s ambition for a $1 trillion economy requires every Nigerian to have the opportunity to contribute and share in its prosperity. That is why this investment matters.
With NUCAP, no community will be left behind.

Promise made. Promise kept.
There needs to be more visibility on how these monies are deployed by each level of governments once it hits their account
Scrutiny should be highest at the local government because that's the last mile to the "masses"
Less than 10% of the 78bn Nigeria seeks for this projects but this a good signal
Nigeria needs to be worthy enough for owners of private capital to bet on her
Welldone My President and to your team
We undertook our economic reforms to build a stronger foundation for investment and give more Nigerians the opportunity to earn a better living.
I welcome the World Bank Group’s work to mobilise up to $5.79 billion in private financing for Nigeria. This partnership supports our efforts to help businesses expand and attract investment into agriculture and digital infrastructure.
Nigeria has gone a step further to put together a pipeline of 65 bankable projects seeking $78.5 billion in investment. Our Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele @taiwoyedele, presented these opportunities alongside CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso at the Nigeria Investors Forum, on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok.
I invite Nigerian and international investors to examine these projects and engage directly with their sponsors through Projects Nigeria. Our administration will work with you to resolve obstacles and move viable investments into execution, creating jobs and expanding opportunities for our people.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President @NGRPresident @NigeriaGov
.@FinMinNigeria .@cenbank @WorldBankAfrica @WorldBankGroup
If Tinubu stays neutral, i don't see Uzodinma defeating Akpabio in the SP contest
Akpabio advantages include
-His SS will give more votes to APC than Uzodinma's SE
- leverage Wike's extensive political network
- Akpabio's men in current Senate
- Anti-Uzodinma sentiments in PGF
The kind of scheming that's going on for the 2027 Senate Presidency, is unbelievably serious.
Akpabio is already feeling threatened by Hope Uzodimma's interest in the position and he couldn't hide his fear while speaking during yesterday's APC PCC inauguration.
He was quick to remind everyone that he's been in politics for 25 years and he doesn't lose.
But he's unfortunate, because those kind of stats do not scare Hope Uzodimma.
Hope Uzodimma would win his senate position by January.
Akpabio should just start mobilising now.
Kazeem Raimi of Platform & Johnnie Eni sitting on Vaaris' board is a clear indicator of the extent of Austin Avuru's involvement
He's probably the highest shareholder of Platform
Johnnie Eni is his right hand man
I'd say his stake in Vaaris is significant
