Monsanto, the Supreme Court ruled that federal pesticide law can block certain state failure-to-warn lawsuits when the EPA has approved the label. This means if the EPA does not require a warning label on these pesticide products, harmed consumers may have a much harder time holding pesticide manufacturers accountable in state court, even when they believe they were never properly warned about serious health risks. This is major blow to transparency, accountability, and the right of Americans to seek justice when they allege harm from chemical exposure.
