I know I’ve said it a few times this year, but I’m unashamedly very proud of myself for how far I’ve come this year. At 2022’s close I was lost, alone and hopeless
But this year I’ve learned to love a lot about myself, have written/directed/produced my first short film,
Have made some awesome new friends, strengthened my bond with old friends and am about to receive a promotion at a job I love.
There’s been so many people who’ve helped me smile when I was afraid I couldn’t anymore and if you’re reading this you’re one of them
Yeah after watching it 30+ times in the 5 months since it released in theatres, Across the Spiderverse still slaps
One of the best stories about heroes and specifically Spider-Man that I’ve ever seen and my enjoyment hasn’t wavered or faltered at all
Gonna nerd out about Spider-Man for a bit
The exciting premise of Hickman’s ultimate Spider-Man being a Peter who became a hero in the middle of his life is fascinating because it’s the antithesis of most reinventions of the character
It’s an exciting new frontier for the character and it’s been achieved by answering the question we’ve been asking for years: what if Peter Parker was allowed to grow up?
I love waking up early to watch the sunrise
Or seeing a night through until the sun comes up
That feeling that the world’s still asleep while the cool breeze and the birds greet you is unmatched
Bonus points if coffee is there to warm your hands
I’m so tired man
I try to keep up and stay positive in the worst of times but everything I do, good or bad, has just left me with this hole in my stomach
This gnawing emptiness
It stings sometimes
Feels numb in others
Idk. I’m just tired
I think if you could hear the background music playing in your own life you’d have a lot less anxiety. I mean think about it, if you’re hearing boss music you know you’re in trouble. Otherwise you’re all good. Hell you might even get a serene piece to relax to
I threw up this morning and I think it really knocked a few cells loose. I feel like a ghost, tethered to one location, floating aimlessly, interacting with a few items and being able to be seen by a few people. But largely just dead and invisible. Maybe just tired.
Been thinking about it for a day and a half and I think I connected to Blue Beetle a lot because it’s about a guy my age wanting to pay back the people who love him and support him but being stuck with the reality that it isn’t that simple (1/2)
I do feel a bit bad from keeping people in the dark as to how the movie is going, but I also would feel worse saying “check out my awesome progress!” And it’s just a screen full of clips and audio splattered haphazardly in a way only I can decipher
