120km from the nearest petrol station or a shop. wind, silence, night darkness and an absolutely slow life of local shepherds and bee keepers. That's the place you need in the middle od #ERC project madness.
tekst w #Archeowieści o tym jak policzyliśmy ilość utraconych informacji w analizach zabytków. Czyli w skrócie- czy ta robota w ogóle ma sens?
Dzięki @cetwinska @chyla_julia i całej redakcji

We've spent last week on Maidanthal Plateau in Pskem the only glacial valley in Uzbekistan. The whole plateau is a huge archaeological site. Never studied before. Simply amazing.

Today we enter Pskem the only glacial valley in Uzbekistan. Mountains, loess sites, kurgans, rock art and no internet for next 8 days.
Field survey lunch at 1700m a.s.l. Would you need anything more? Oh perhaps a Middle Palaeolithic flake and a horseshoe will do.
Today we start geophysical survey in Chatkal range of Tian Shan. First at multilayered Middle Palaeolithic less site Kuksaray 2 we start with a combination of ERT, GPR, geomagnetic and seismic methods. @INASIA_ERC

More Denisovan bones! Identified by proteomics again. These ones come from Yunan and date from ~167-134ka.
These new bones give insights about where Denisovans lived and about their arm morphology

Today we did lidar model of newly discovered deep and huge cave in Montenegro. Have you ever seen Prehistoric fireplaces all around the cave preserved on the surface? Crazy and extremely difficult for documentation.
Meet the most glamourous Neanderthal knife ever. See the shiny spot, left by the knapper exactly in the middle? Tell me, they were not aestetically sensitive. #RajCave what a cave
I've received first review written clearly by AI. Extremely long description of my paper, and then simple remarks regarding the consistency of the text, coherency of figures. Nothing in depth. It is a wrong path, we follow recently. Even if it's at the end minor revision.
