It's not that price has no importance. It's just that ownership of the soundest item on Earth trumps price. Why would you let the most corrupt item (fiat) on Earth entirely dictate the value of the scarcest, soundest, fairest item on Earth? That's like allowing your greatest enemy to give an opinion of you to the world for all to trust and believe. You either regard bitcoin more important than fiat, in the end and over time, or you don't. If you do, then what the USD reports back to you is not to be trusted all that much. It's the liar.
