If you want to learn how to make a game in #rustlang check out my book, it's finally out!
It will teach you how to make a Sokoban copy while explaining some rust and gamedev concepts on the way!

"Zero To Production In Rust" is complete ๐ฆ
It is a start-to-finish guide for building APIs using @rustlang.
A mix of pragmatic advice and foundational concepts.
@zero2prod is the book I wished I had when I started.
Two years in the making - it feels surreal to be *done*.
๐ฆ Short intro to Rust Embedded Development - Part 2 ๐งต ๐
I'll be using an STM32F407G-DISC1 microcontroller (Cortex M4) and two main crates: cortex-m and stm32f4.
The goal is to write a simple Rust program that plays with the LEDs and button of the board.
Let's do it! ๐
Now finally, let's make the pattern play continuously, but change when we press the button. Here is what the code looks like, it's pretty simple, we keep an index of the current pattern, and increment it when button is pressed (don't forget to wrap otherwise we go out of bounds).
And finally, here is what the board looks like, pretty cool! ๐ ๐
I hope you enjoyed this second thread on embedded systems with @rustlang showing a little more Rusty abstractions with the patterns and working with buttons.

I'll be using:
* STM32F407G-DISC1 microcontroller (Cortex M4)
* cortex-m crate crates.io/crates/cortex-m
* stm32f4 crate crates.io/crates/stm32f4
The goal is to write a simple Rust program that enables some LEDs.
Let's do it! ๐
And then we use it like so.
The end result is the same since we haven't made any functional changes, so all LEDs should blink just like they were before.
