hi tech twitter, i'm ollie > built one of europe's biggest second-hand apps, @Faircado - 200m+ views, 500K+ customers, all organic > now building vyral labs, where we run some of the best ugc campaigns for companies like @ecosia > fun fact: we also ran the same playbook on our own app - 120,000 downloads in 28 days, zero ad spend I'll be dropping the sauce on how you actually convert from views to ACTUAL conversions:

sometimes i forget that getting to $100k/mo can literally just be a water tracker with a llama in sunglasses. b2c consumer tech is 10% utility and 90% giving people a dopamine loop so stupid it actually works.
The most underpriced asset on the internet is a normal person who’s great on camera and has no idea yet.

we posted 1,759 videos for 7.0M views at ~€1 CPM, but if you don't cut underperformers your CPM spikes. its very simple cut 20% every 3 weeks for a canvas UGC campaign

chat apps are one of the hardest products to make go consistently viral, this is why i have SO much respect for @thestatusai unless your hook is 10/10 its almost impossible to get someone to stop scrolling to read dialogue bubbles on a screen. if your interface requires reading, conversion is dead.

paying $4 cpi when you can get $0.40 is wild. most founders burn runway guessing hooks on paid ads. we test creative at volume across organic creator accounts first, pull what hits, then put spend behind it. organic tests the hooks, hooks scale the spend

tech twitter loves screaming that distribution beats product. if your product has zero viral loops baked into the ui, 50M views is just pouring water into a shattered vase. creator volume doesn't save broken retention. distribution exposes product. product keeps distribution

tiktok views converted 5x better than instagram for one of our clients. people lurk on instagram because they're terrified someone sees what they like. tiktok is consumption. instagram is reputation. consumption drives conversion. reputation kills conversion

we took @ecosia to #2 in mexico and spain with 28M views in 14 days. when US feeds burn out on creative fatigue, we hand winning angles to native creators in europe for green-screen reactions. US feeds hit fatigue. foreign feeds print

the quickest way to make an unknown app look legit in organic video: "top 3 apps i use every day: notion, spotify, [your app]" name two category giants first. put your product third. the viewer already trusts the first two defaults, so your product just inherits it

the fastest way to kill organic distribution is letting a brand manager pre-approve every video. scaling past 100 creator posts a day only works if you switch to retroactive review. pre-approval protects brand safety, retroactive review protects volume

we bumped cold outbound dms to 90 a day on tiktok and instagram to recruit creators. zero reliable signups. 90% of our 300+ active creators came from referral bounties and alumni from past campaigns. cold outreach is cooked, your best creators already know the next ones

9 months ago we were 3 guys sharing 1 laptop in a flat in berlin. today we're launching vyral labs. we run ugc at scale for some of the biggest consumer companies in the world with an average cpi of $0.40 against the $4 industry benchmark. paid ads rent attention, creator volume owns it.

london is the BEST for corporate slop watching - i feel some sense of enjoyment watching a new graduate pay £7.50 for a pint of guinness

founders treat paid ads and ugc like enemies. we use organic ugc as the testing ground. we test hundreds of hooks across creator accounts, pull the top performers, and push paid spend behind them with tiktok spark ads. that gets us 9¢ cpm on spark ads and a 4% conversion rate. our cpi sits at $0.40 against the $4 industry benchmark. organic finds the winner. paid buys the scale.
