THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF A FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP NOBODY TALKS ABOUT. People see the scholarship announcement.
They see the congratulations.
They see the visa approval.
They see the airport pictures. But this is what they rarely see. A notebook filled with university names, application fees, deadlines, requirements, and decisions. Every tick represents something I have checked.
Every cross represents an opportunity I ruled out or a requirement I could not meet.
Every deadline is a date I had to keep track of. I have spent time researching universities, comparing programmes, checking eligibility, preparing documents, reviewing my CV, working on my statement of purpose, and tracking applications. And this is only one part of the process. Behind every serious scholarship application is a lot of work people never see. Sometimes, you spend hours researching a scholarship only to discover that you are not eligible. Sometimes, you prepare your documents and still receive a rejection. Sometimes, you find an opportunity that fits your goals, but the deadline is too close. And sometimes, one application opens a door you have prayed about for years. My notebook reminds me that scholarship hunting is not about applying randomly to every opportunity you see. It requires research, organisation, patience, and strategy. If you are currently searching for a fully funded scholarship, here are five things to start doing. 1Create a spreadsheet or notebook to track opportunities. 2Record eligibility requirements before you start an application. 3Keep your CV, transcripts, certificates, and other documents organised. 4Track deadlines and give yourself enough time to prepare. 5Apply strategically. Prioritise programmes that align with your academic background and future goals. You do not need to have everything figured out from day one. You need a system that helps you keep moving. This picture is a reminder of the work behind the opportunity. The success story often begins long before the acceptance email arrives. Scholarship seekers, be honest. Are you tracking your applications in a notebook, a spreadsheet, or your head? #ScholarshipTips #FullyFundedScholarships #StudyAbroad #GraduateStudies #DrGenius #Linkedinforchangemakers

I left Abuja with two boxes, a heavy heart, and a lot of faith. 🥹 A week ago, I relocated to Lagos, leaving behind my patients, colleagues, friends and the life I had built. Starting over isn't easy, but I'm trusting God with this new chapter. 🤲🏽

ERASMUS MUNDUS MOTIVATION LETTER The motivation letter/Statement of Purpose is unique to every Erasmus Mundus master’s program. Unique in the sense that some Erasmus programs will give specific information/questions they want a prospective applicant to answer in the letter. You should note that there is no defined or regulated way to write a motivation letter. However, irrespective of the format you use to write your letter it should answer the following questions. 1.  What are your interests/passions/motivations: What sparked your desire for graduate school? i.e., why did you decide to further your education? The reasons you state should be short and precise. Your motivation for further studies can come from different experiences and scenarios. For example, it can be a result of your experience growing up such as bad roads, poor food hygiene, poor health systems, poor security measures, governance and administration, poor engineering design and implementation, etc. also, it can be as a result of the experience you had during your bachelor program, maybe the courses you took during your undergraduate and you wish to develop mastery in that aspect of your program. 2.  The summary of your undergraduate program and any experience you acquired during and after your program: Here, talk about your undergraduate program/project, what you did, how you did it, and the result of your work. If you used any instrument such as spectroscopic instruments for those in Chemistry or designed a reactor for engineering folks or develop a software application for Tech folks etc. talk about it because it adds to your skill set and proficiency in handling some of these instruments. If you publish any paper or write any article that is related to your desired program, mention it briefly. If you did Industrial training and the activities you carried out somehow align with your chosen Erasmus program, state it briefly.  Also, you can mention some courses you undertook during your undergrad that are related to the program you’re applying to. 3.  Why is the program a good fit and why are you a good fit/Career Goal: In this place, be specific about what makes this Erasmus program that you’re applying to your ideal choice. To answer this question, you must do research about the program by looking at its website. Again, specificity matters, you may talk about how the program is a stepping stone to achieving your career goal after the program. Why are you a good fit? sell yourself to them, and talk about your accomplishments, dedication, hard work, commitment, adaptability, etc. Again, ensure to do not repeat what you have mentioned on your CV.

Meet Oluwagunwa Micheal. I have known Micheal since our secondary school days at Jakande Estate Secondary College, if there is one thing I have always known him for, it is excellence. He travelled to Akure for a speaking engagement on Friday, but on their way back, they were involved in a tragic accident that claimed lives. Micheal survived, alongside a few others who sustained minor injuries. Yet, despite such a traumatic experience, he was back on stage yesterday at @jawwar_ui , representing Lord Tedder Hall,he delivered a stellar performance that earned him a spot among the best speakers of the night. Honestly, I am not surprised. I have watched this guy grow and excellence has always been a part of him. Even in the face of adversity, he continues to show up and give his best. Proud of you Micheal. I pray it keeps getting better!
