very enlightening thread to how people who dislike gradients and such think. i think the disconnect is that big gradients arent meant to be seen up close, only from afar

I know that people call you autistic or German for this but I really can't look at build hacks like this and not just see a bunch of [functional block] being used in a weird way rather than whatever the author is intending

Mojang if I wake up to a snapshot with Calcite bricks tomorrow I will likely continue to play Minecraft

making youtube videos (especially minecraft ones) gets demotivating when you realize this is the content you’re being suggested next to

my issue with ice is just the amount of contrast on the block. it’s almost giving programmer art which i really dislike. i’ve wanted ice bricks for years but i don’t see myself using that texture without it feeling noisy

watching bdubs makes me wanna get up and play minecraft in a way no other creator invokes. a lot of his builds feel so down to earth and make you think “wow i could do that” … then you pull out your laptop and you can’t do that

i think the reason it’s so hard to see steve as a bearded man and not just smiling REALLY BIG is because all the other minecraft characters don’t have noses. their mouths are where his nose is

it’s so goofy watching people try to relate everything because there’s not really a beginning/middle/end to the game. i’ve been in my world for 3 years and haven’t gone to the end/upgraded to netherite simply because i haven’t wanted to

I believe this is the greatest decision Mojang could make Yes, this still makes sense even while having a dimension named The End

if you ask me, the dimensions exist in a kind of imperfect circle. they’re nonlinear but connected in certain ways

you know we talk about all the crazy things the cushion lets you do but just being able to sit in minecraft is so nice
