I have been happily married for 35 years. I have two adult sons. I know men are good. But… Every woman on this planet has taken a different route. Called a friend while she was walking. Skipped a run because it “just didn’t feel right”. Explained away “bad behavior”. You see, we live in parallel timelines. Two things can be true. Men can be good. Women can be understandably afraid. Stop making women EXPLAIN why they are afraid of men in women’s spaces. And it isn’t because we’re transphobic. It is BECAUSE THEY ARE MEN. And we are not idiots.

So it could have been Faruqi and McKim. What a lost opportunity to peak the nation. I have actually seen Shoebridge in action at a community meeting and he was impressive.

#Good_News: I welcome the UK Government’s decision to support Afghan women at risk. However, the process must be transparent, carefully verified, and focused on women and girls facing real danger, not those who simply have stronger personal or family connections. I have received dozens of messages from Afghan women and girls inside Afghanistan who have been forced out of education, are suffering severe psychological distress, and in some cases are facing the risk of forced marriage. Many have contacted organisations and individuals who publicly claim to support Afghan women, yet their messages remain unanswered. These are real people facing real danger. Some are former teachers, students, activists, human rights defenders, and young girls whose education and future have been taken away from them. At the same time, there are serious concerns that some people outside Afghanistan may use the situation of Afghan women to advance personal interests or help relatives, friends and close contacts. The UK Government must ensure that personal relationships, influence or connections do not determine who receives protection. Every case should be independently assessed and properly verified, with priority based on the person’s actual level of risk and vulnerability. Afghan women and girls who are genuinely in danger should not once again be left behind while others with stronger connections receive opportunities.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood announces that UK will be opening "safe and legal" routes for refugees. These refugees will include "Afghan women and girls fleeing persecution under the Taliban" and "Palestinians who have fled the horrors of Gaza". Live: trib.al/bf9DZad

One minute. That is all it takes to listen to this beautiful voice. One minute to become her voice. Parastoo Ahmadi, one of Iran's most beloved singers, has reportedly been sentenced to 74 lashes simply for singing. Her musicians and production team face the same punishment. In the 21st century, a woman will be lashed on her body because she dared to sing. I want to scream. I want to shout in the street and sing loud and tell everyone: this government is killing innocent people, executing them, lashing them. This is not a normal government. So I am calling on every famous singer, every big name, every artist with a stage and a microphone: be Parastoo's voice. Sing for her until she can sing again. #ParastooAhmadi

Let me introduce you to Mahboubeh Shabani, a 33-year-old woman from Mashhad received death sentence. During the January uprising, when protesters were shot and wounded in the streets, Mahboubeh used her motorcycle to take injured people to hospitals. For this, she was arrested, beaten, held in solitary confinement and imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison. Now Sepideh Gholian, who was imprisoned with her, says Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad has sentenced Mahboubeh to death. Her crime? Helping the wounded. We still have time to act before another life is taken. #StopExecutionsInIran

hello kellie. can you help saudi women with reaching global magazines and news networks for feminist issues?.. literally nobody ever spoke about us because we live in a “rich country” even tho we live a similar life to afghanistan🤢 we are tired our government is helpful but the problem is with the society and the protection rights here that are influenced by misogynistic men i can’t wait till they seethe when they see us without the burka and niqab LOL we gain our rights to drive only because of the driving issue became global and the government had to do something to protect its image it’s like their global image is more important than a woman’s life.. same with niqab now it should be global embarrassment for them. and the culture of forcing niqab need to stop here. every woman needs to choose to wear it or not solely based on her CHOICE not by men forcing it and i wish this piece of garbage could disappear i know many saudi women has been hanging up on you they truly think you can change the laws here which is impossible but you can at least talk to big voices for feminism here tell them our stories send big news networks the issues for saudi women and start protesting for us. and we will be thankful for all british women🩷 you are truly the only true feminist and women advocate while our women/men betray us. i wish we could do something but in saudi the male population is 60% more than women here we can’t overpower that its scary and we could barely get our voices heard without being demonized and our reputation ruined. this could mean nothing to you but it means the world for us #help_saudi_women #٢٠٣٠_بلا_نقاب

Concerns over the life of Ali Zarei have mounted following his transfer to solitary confinement in GhezelHesar Prison on Monday, September 21. Ali Zarei is a political prisoner sentenced to death who sustained an eye injury during the 2022 uprising. Be his voice and use every possible means to save his life. #LastBreath
Ali Zarei, a patriotic political prisoner blinded in one eye during the 2022 uprising, announced in a phone message from Ghezel Hesar Prison that his unjust death sentence has been upheld by the Islamic Republic’s court. Emphasizing that he has never engaged in any violent acts, Zarei urged human rights organizations and the global public to be his voice and stop the Islamic Republic from executing him. Stand with Ali Zarei and be his voice. Do not let the regime’s killing machine take the life of this brave young man.

Hello everyone, this is a message from inside prison, from a young Iranian woman who is about to be executed. Please help me to amplify her voice before they hang her. 💔 «Remember my name, maybe I will not be able to speak again.» This is the voice of Najmeh Amini, a 23 year old accounting student, speaking from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. In her voice message she says: «Be my voice. I am an innocent girl, a young woman full of hopes and dreams.» Najmeh is one of the detainees of the January uprising . She spent months in detention without a verdict, denied access to a lawyer of her choice and pressured during interrogation. In August, her trial was held at the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on charges of «assembly and collusion» and «insulting sacred values.» She said in her voice message that her death sentence was issued on September 16, 2026. In her own words: «People, I only want justice and the chance to defend myself.» And this is her dream: «Before the rope ends my life, let me see my Iran prosperous and free.» Be her voice and all of political prisoners, especially those at risk of execution. #NajmehAmini #StopExecutionsInIran

Christians are being slaughtered for their faith. In Nigeria, 30 Christians were just murdered as they prepared for church services, and a pastor and father of five was abducted and killed. In just days the ACLJ will take the persecution of Nigeria’s Christians directly to the U.N. Human Rights Council. We will not be silent. Take action with us: aclj.pulse.ly/x41zo0bulb

⚠️ URGENT: The Islamic Republic is preparing to hang #MehdiNazer and his fiancée, #MahnazChardouli, on fabricated charges of “espionage” and “attacking a mosque.” Yet there is no public evidence or report of any mosque attack that day. This couple’s lives are in grave danger.

You need much higher quality, better informed advisers on many issues, interfaith being one. Similarly inappropriate people were met with on recent visits overseas. There is a disturbing naivety which bothers this Church of England churchwarden of paternal Jewish descent. It is deeply disappointing that our senior hierarchy are so poorly advised.

Iranian twin sisters Taraneh and Romina Rahimi were beaten until their faces were badly swollen and bruised, suffered broken elbows, knuckles and feet, and had much of their hair ripped out as they were dragged between prison cells. Taraneh has now been sentenced to death by hanging, while Romina was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The sisters were 19-year-old high-school students when masked IRGC agents dragged them from their bedrooms with bags over their heads after they joined anti-regime protests in Isfahan. Their family was not told where they had been taken, and their mother spent four months searching courts and hospitals before finally seeing them in prison, where she could not recognize her own daughters. Taraneh was threatened that guards would rape Romina in front of her unless she signed a confession. Her lawyers later told the court that her confession had been obtained through torture. No evidence that either sister participated in violence was presented. Their family has not been allowed to see either sister since they were sentenced.

Here’s a sentence that should shock anyone who still thinks the Islamic Republic has a justice system. Arghavan Fallahi is 24 years old. She is sitting in Evin Prison under a death sentence. She formally asked the judiciary to reopen her case and spare her life. Today, reports say that request was rejected. Which means she can now be executed at any moment. It just brakes my heart that she did everything to save her life. And this is the part where the Islamic Republic wants the world to look away and say, “Well, it’s an internal legal matter.” No. It isn’t. When a 24-year-old woman can be sentenced to death after a political prosecution, and the same system that arrested her, interrogated her, tried her and condemned her also gets to decide whether she deserves another hearing, that is not justice. That is the government acting as police, prosecutor, judge and executioner and then calling the whole thing due process. I wrote about Arghavan before because I did not want the world to learn her name after she was hanged. She is alive right now. And this is exactly when governments, journalists and human-rights organizations should speak before the execution, not after the obituary. Stop the execution of Arghavan Fallahi. #StopExecutionInIran

This a sad day for Australian women. The Gillard government's ill-informed decision to remove biological sex from the Sex Discrimination Act is now bearing its fruit. And it is rotten. Sall Grover will not be the last woman to fall prey to this calamitous amendment. The sooner it is repealed, the sooner women can feel safe in single-sex spaces without the interference of biological men. Link to article in the comments below.

Every time decent society anywhere in the world caves to such a demand, women are sent back to the dark ages. We are all diminished by it. I’d love men to really think about how they would feel in the same position. It says - you are less, you are tarnished, you are a problem, you are an object to be ordered, you serve at the whim of men who are allowed to control you. Any religion that treats women like this should be banned, and the manager who agreed it should be sacked.
