This continues to be the single best answer to any question ever asked about American history. This are the real facts about the founding, all of which have been buried by people who want you to believe the American founding was evil and oppressive. Never apologize for America. It is the beacon of light to the world.

This appears to ensure the taped man will be a rich man. He didn't threaten the plane, he insulted people.

Airlines and crews follow the Tokyo Convention: the captain can authorize reasonable restraint of a passenger who threatens aircraft safety, people, property, or order. Crew may request passenger help. Zip ties, flex cuffs, straps or duct tape (often carried onboard) are last-resort tools after de-escalation fails. Force must stay reasonable; excessive use risks liability. FAA has zero tolerance for interference with crew.

Yes. But you don’t reduce the deficit by stealing money from other people, Mark. You reduce it by cutting wasteful spending, stopping the massive fraud that is going on, and growing the economy. And you do not grow the economy by penalizing success. You just pull up the ladder so that no one can be as rich as @mcuban. If the government literally confiscated all the money from rich people like you, it would not make a dent in the deficit, and you know that. You’ve got yours and you don’t give a damn how much they take from you because you have that much. You are supporting Marxists who want to destroy the capitalist system and replace it with a top-down totalitarian state. They say this out loud. They aren't bothering to hide it anymore. Are you pandering to them so they will eat you last? You know better. Or do you?

This is fitting. Dolly Parton is American royalty. She easily could've been a billionaire, but she just kept giving away her money. She gave over $600M to charity, without any fanfare. When Gatlinburg got decimated by wildfires, she didn't give to an NPO...she paid $1,000 a month directly to families who lost their homes, totaling over $12M in direct cash aid to the victims. She also paid 100% of the tuition & books for the kids of any of her 11K employees. Dolly was the ultimate icon of American greatness: be great so you can do great. She simultaneously built a formidable business empire, and fostered a universally-beloved reputation that spans every clique in America. I've literally never heard a single disparaging word about Dolly from anyone. I know everyone will try to "claim" her for their pet political issue, or whatever...but she transcended politics and petty partisanship her entire life, and we should honor that now that God has called her home. She was just a genuine blessing to our country, and perhaps the best example of what an American should aspire to be. Faithful. Great. Prolific. Kind. Generous. Humble.

We should be taxed so little that the government is forced to account for every red cent. We should be taxed so little that it’s nearly impossible to defraud us because every dollar must be accounted for just to keep the lights on. The fact that we have had hundreds of billions stolen from us & no one even noticed, the fact that an obscene amount of money cannot even be accounted for, the fact that we have money for everyone under the sun, from every dark sht hole corner of the universe, The fact that we fund foreign projects like “basket weaving for bisexuals in Bolivia”, “trans tribal tap dance in Tunisia”, that means… WE PAY TOO MUCH

It's them vs. us. If we are not all are the red, the white and the blue, they win.

What is happing in Utah is an absolute mockery of the American justice system. The length and depth of this preliminary hearing is far beyond what is required to show TR should be held over for trial before a jury of his peers. This show by the prosecution, allowed for broadcast by the judge, seems designed to try the case in the court of public opinion, and can do nothing but taint a jury pool. There has been a lot made of conspiracies surrounding Charlie's death, and all this spectacle does is make me wonder if there is something to them. Otherwise, why?

“I work the front desk at a small doctor’s office, and I wish people could see what happens on the other side of the phone. Every day, older patients call us confused. They are told to use the patient portal, upload documents, check lab results online, fill out forms before the visit, and confirm everything through a link. Some of them do not know what a portal is. Some do not have a smartphone. Some have one, but they are afraid to click the wrong thing. Last week, a man in his late 80s called about his test results. He said, “Ma’am, I don’t mean to bother you, but the computer says I have a message and I don’t know how to open it.” He sounded ashamed. That broke my heart. He should not have to feel ashamed for needing a human being. Technology can be helpful. I understand that. But when people who built this country are made to feel helpless because everything became a login and a password, we have gone too far. Not everything needs to be an app. Not every answer should be hidden behind a screen. Sometimes people need a voice. A patient person. A real human who says, “Don’t worry, I can help you.” Progress should not leave seniors behind. Because one day, the world will move faster than us too. And I hope someone is kind enough to slow down. ~Unknown

Elon Musk just proved that ownership in America is a legal fiction. Musk: “You get taxed on what you earn, you get taxed on what you buy, and you get taxed on what you own.” Think about what property tax actually means. You worked for decades. Paid it off in full. The deed is in your name. Stop paying the government its annual fee. Watch them take it and sell it to someone who will. You never owned that house. You were leasing it from an entity you never signed a contract with. Income tax tells the same truth in softer packaging. The government does not take a portion of your earnings. They decide how much of your own labor you are permitted to keep. That is not semantics. It is a confession of who the system believes your time belongs to first. Sales tax buries itself in the receipt. Two people exchange value voluntarily. A third party who contributed nothing takes a cut simply for allowing it to happen. Now stack all three. Taxed when you create. Taxed when you spend. Taxed when you hold. Taxed again when you die and try to pass it to your children. At no point in that cycle does the system recognize your output as yours. Because money is not an abstraction. It is crystallized human lifespan. Every dollar taxed is an hour you already lived, already bled for, already gone. The state is not managing an economy. It is claiming dominion over time you will never get back. And spending it on systems you never asked for and actively oppose. The institution extracting all of it faces zero obligation to perform. A contractor who delivers nothing gets fired. A bureaucracy that burns through trillions gets a budget increase the next fiscal year. SpaceX pays taxes to the agencies that obstruct its launches. Tesla funds the regulators drafting rules to shield its competitors. The builders are not subsidizing government. They are financing their own friction. The tax code is 74,000 pages long. Not because the economy demands it. Because the extraction had to be buried in enough complexity that you would stop asking who it was designed to protect. The past belonged to the people who taxed the world. The future belongs to the people who build it.
