Y esto se demuestra con la confirmación de la nominación a los Premios Goya de la película Neurótica Anónima, propuesta del Comité de Expertos del ICAI, como Mejor película latinoamericana. Y también, otra muestra de orgullo dentro de la isla es que se estrenó en el emblemático Cine Yara de La Habana el filme El Camino. La ópera prima del también actor Omar Alí.
