Unseasonal rain and hail have flattened mature paddy across thousands of acres in the Malwa region.
Worst affected villages include Sarainaga, Khokhar, Marar Kalan, Kothe Mall Ke, Sangrana, Lubanianwali, Landa Rode and Kirpal Ke in Sri Muktsar Sahib; Dhigana, Rupana, Sotha and Phulewala in Malout; Harike Kalan and Bhuttiwala in Gidderbaha; and Khara, Chak Kalyan and Wander Jattana in Kotkapura.
Pained to learn of this heavy loss just before harvest. I will visit the affected villages soon and do my best to help the farmers.
Meanwhile, ‘Guru Dokhi’ CM @BhagwantMann must order special girdawari immediately and release Rs 50,000 per acre compensation without delay besides clearing all pending crop-loss dues. Farmers cannot be left to bear this burden alone.

- Recently an anti-drone cop in Tarn Taran was caught smuggling 15kg of heroin!
- Angry people called for a Punjab Bandh because the entire state has reached its tipping point.
And yet, while Punjab burns in total chaos, Guru Dokhi is busy begging the courts to flee the country!

Another day, another mother loses her braveheart son in Punjab’s war against drugs. Another young life from Batala lost while confronting drug peddlers.
My heartfelt condolences to the family of Late S. Bikramjit Singh, whose body was reportedly cremated hastily by the police against the family’s wishes, raising serious questions about a possible government cover-up.
While the shameless Guru Dokhi @BhagwantMann is busy with foreign trips and birthday celebrations, Punjab’s mothers are left mourning their sons, day after day. But let us not forget anything, we will hold @AAPPunjab accountable for all its misdeeds!
I assure his family that this sacrifice will not go in vain. This injustice will not go unanswered. The @Akali_Dal_ stands firmly with them.

My heart sank and words completely failed me as I held Parvinder Singh Jhota’s mother in my arms.
There is NOTHING in this world which is more painful than watching a mother lose her child. Her tears speak volumes about the absolute collapse and injustice of the system.
No mother should ever have to endure this pain especially when her son actually stood up to save Punjab from drugs.

Shiromani Akali Dal demands immediate compensation for farmers whose paddy crops were swept away by unprecedented flooding in the Fazilka grain market. We also call for a special girdawari to assess losses from heavy rains across the State.

Punjab education dept issues fresh order to paint 3602 government schools across state in shades of blue and yellow.
Earlier over 800 schools were painted in these shades in December last year which had led to a political uproar by Opposition parties.

@AAPPunjab under Guru Dokhi @BhagwantMann has now directed school teachers to record video testimonials from parents about its welfare schemes during the statewide Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) that is happening right now!
What’s worse, these teachers have been told to submit a 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗼𝗳 10 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹!
First, they were asked to conduct surveys, then the census, then another survey, and now they have been reduced to recording testimonials. The Govt is making them to everything except teaching! What is even going on in @harjotbains ?
I urge the Ministry of Education (@EduMinOfIndia) as well as the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) to intervene urgently! This AAP advertising ‘homework’ given to teachers and parents needs to stop immediately!

#WATCH | Punjab | The CBI has registered an FIR to investigate the allegations of corruption against the OSD to the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) and his associates for influencing and manipulating postings of officers including that of IAS and IPS officers, departmental proceedings, matters pertaining to policy formulation, administrative approvals, tender conditions, licensing matters, Land Use conversion matters, property disputes, revenue and land-related issues in lieu of pecuniary benefits.
The CBI conducted extensive coordinated searches at 08 locations across Chandigarh, Mohali, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur and Jalandhar at premises connected with the accused persons.

Today, I joined @Akali_Dal_ 's 'door-to-door ‘Punjab Bachao’ campaign in village Kandukhera in Lambi.
Meeting families in their homes, listening to their concerns and hearing their hopes for Punjab was both humbling and deeply moving.
The love and affection I received was overwhelming. But behind those smiles, I also saw the pain and hardships that Punjab’s families are being forced to endure under the present government.
Our manifesto will not be written in air-conditioned rooms. It will be written by the people of Punjab, from their experiences, aspirations and suggestions.
We will reach EVERY village, knock on EVERY door and listen to EVERY Punjabi. Because Punjab’s future must be shaped by Punjabis themselves, not by ‘outsiders’.

From today, the @Akali_Dal_ has launched its door-to-door ‘Punjab Bachao’ campaign across the State.
This is our attempt to visit EVERY household in EVERY village to CONNECT DIRECTLY with EACH and EVERY family to listen to their concerns and take suggestions for the party’s manifesto.
Unlike other parties, our manifesto will be framed by Punjabis themselves!
I personally conducted this door-to-door exercise in Doda village in Gidderbaha. While on one hand I was humbled with the love and affection I got while visiting families one-on-one, on the other I was equally pained to see their hardships and struggles thanks to the current dispensation.
Together, we all vowed that if prosperity is to return to the state, then these ‘outsider Dilliwallas’ need to be shown the door!
I personally stand for making all election manifestos legal documents so that political parties who don’t abide by them are disqualified.
