What if 2023 was the last year of architecture awards & the resources going towards those, was redirected towards events to connect us to our communities & join up work across sectors, catalysing a #JustTransition that begins in our homes, on our streets & in our neighbourhoods?
Holding space for >60 people to delve into neighbourhood retrofit at Civic House in Glasgow at yesterday’s Green Tease @CCScotland / @AnthropoceneAS was a joy. We connected, learned, shared, were led in a willow craft workshop by @marthaorbach & used our radical imaginations.

ALT An AI generated painting with the words 'a fragile correspondence' layered over it in a white, angular font. The painting shows an outdoor scene with mountains and and a factory in the background, and a bear and a table with a what appears to be a vase on it in the foreground. The image has a lot of shades of brown, green and grey and has quite an earthy tone to it.

I've written a contribution to the National Discussion on Education. It's rough round the edges and certainly not exhaustive but does, I think, at least touch on the key issues we need to address.

We need a general election now but I’m not putting much of my time or hope into a Starmer government that won’t meaningfully reverse years of austerity

"When we talk about economic stability I want be frank. The damage the Tories have done... means things are going to be really tough, now & during my Lab govt. We cannot take any risks with the public finances, we have to restore economic stability"

The Conservative Party imposed one of the worst Prime Ministers the country has ever seen on the country without a General Election.
And now, they want a chance to do it all again.

No way should we just accept the appointment of another Tory PM! We need mass protests and direct action on the streets!
Not meaning to be that guy, but am going to be that guy, that says the issue is systemic. We have, and largely subscribe to (or at least in part go along with), a system where this kind of thing happens, and will keep happening.
My leadership manifesto: ban people who went to private schools from holding elected office. That’s it.
