Don’t call it a comeback chat. In 2025 Starknet leveled up and built the foundation: 🔸BTCFi - $200M in BTC, native Bitcoin Staking 🔸Scaling - 500ms pre-confs, 2600 user ops per sec 🔸Interop - HyperLane, LayerZero, NEAR intents 🔸Decentralization - multi-sequencers, +150 validators 🔸Growth - 3x TVL, 20x apps fees, $150M in stables 🔸Privacy - ZTARKNEAR, private trading 2026 is going to be massive
We built the base in 2025. 2026 is the year we send it: BTCFi, privacy, token alignment… See you in the trenches.

Smart money kept flowing into @Starknet in 2025 and it’s the #2 chain in terms of net inflows YTD 🤯
So in 2025: > Only 9 chains have positive inflows, and Starknet is one of them. > Even better: Starknet ranks #2 by net inflows. Let’s lock in and make sure it continues in 2026.

FUN FACT: The CEO of StarkWare just called Bitcoin the Titanic. The iceberg (Quantum Computing) is 2-5 years away. The crew is arguing about the wattage of a bathroom lamp (OP_RETURN debates) while the hull is exposed. OP_CAT isn't a feature. It's the practice turn before we hit the ice. Satoshi left you a lifeboat. It's called STARKs. Start swimming or get onboard.

StarkWare has a phenomenal track record of committing to decentralization, freedom tech, and overall advancement of blockchain tech. Saying otherwise is just ignoring reality. There are lots of haters and fud out there - and we are always open for criticism and feedback - but we are also convinced in our way forward and roadmap to make Starknet the most decentralized and performant Rollup out there. SWMF
starknet fud from the ethereum community intensifies. interesting. let me address the legitimate criticism. but first, let me be crystal clear about something i will never apologize for: we love bitcoin and want bitcoin to succeed. any etherean who came to ethereum for its cypherpunk ethos should be rooting for bitcoin. bitcoin is a wake up call for humanity. it's far more than tech or the best performing asset in history. it's the best hope we have to shake the asymmetry of power in the world. if you want bitcoin to fail, you are an enemy of freedom tech in my opinion. i don't care about the "alignment" bullshit takes. now, to the legitimate fud. "starknet needs to stop saying they're the best in everything" we don't just say it. we show it. on almost every dimension. some things are still at "promise" status, sure. and you don't have to believe we'll deliver. but we have years of track record of doing exactly what we committed to, despite the ethereum community's opinion. let's speak facts. starknet has by far the most diversity of tech stack, infrastructure players, and ecosystem of core devs actively participating in governance. this is real decentralization. tech stack diversity: xitter.cf/AbdelStark/status/1763… and xitter.cf/odin_free/status/18686… core devs / governance diversity: xitter.cf/AbdelStark/status/1879… "after years they haven't managed to implement proper forced txs" bro. which team implemented probably the only escape hatch actually demonstrated in production, used at scale? starkware, on starkex with dydx. you know this. you covered it extensively. you even built tooling around it: xitter.cf/l2beat/status/18537569… yes, it's not on starknet yet. but we pioneered this. demonstrated it. in real world production. at scale. "there is no credible commitment to open up proving" how can you say this? stwo is fully open source. multiple teams are already using it, even outside starknet contexts. we have probably the most credible path to decentralizing all parts of the protocol infrastructure (except aztec who has it live). we made tremendous progress on sequencer decentralization. some steps are already live on mainnet - 3 sequencers running consensus (operated by us for now, but the architecture is proven and running). we're progressing well on both consensus specification and implementations - one by starkware, one by informal systems. again, diversity. malachite by informal systems, funded by us and built in collaboration, is completely open source and already used by other blockchain projects. decentralization plans: community.starknet.io/t/star… 2025 roadmap: starknet.io/blog/decentraliz… we decided to prioritize decentralization of starknet architecture before forced txs on l1. both approaches have tradeoffs. forced txs on l1 have real issues. @_prestwich and others already discussed this extensively: xitter.cf/_prestwich/status/1970… and blog.init4.technology/p/the-… you even replied that you agreed with him: xitter.cf/donnoh_eth/status/1970… we optimize for what we believe is the best path short/mid term. decentralization of architecture, stack, and governance is exactly how we're improving censorship resistance. not just to comply with some arbitrary framework (though l2beat's standardization efforts are phenomenal and important for keeping teams accountable), but because real world practical considerations matter. censorship resistance matters deeply to us. we're not dismissing it. we're actively taking steps to improve it - gradually, practically, realistically. i'm happy to debate this live with anyone, anytime. i can proudly defend our position, our decisions, and our actions. we will continue building freedom tech to improve the world. no matter the fud. as we always have. starknet will melt faces.

What if you could deposit USDC into the Extended vault and get a nice ~14% APR as an LP, while getting a tokenized share of the vault to be used as collateral to trade perps? Sounds nice right? Well, @extendedapp just released XVS that lets you do exactly that. You can earn yield while trading / holding your perp positions. A big unlock for capital efficiency 🔥

⬆️ Starknet #BTCFi arc is up only! Over 1,733 BTC ($160M) staked to secure the network, led by 1,358 $solvBTC With $BTC back above $92K and momentum surging – major US banks like JPMorgan, Citi & Wells Fargo now issuing credit against Bitcoin – institutional adoption is real🔥

Smart money doesn’t guess. It goes where there’s an opportunity. Over the last 3 months, more capital has flowed into Starknet than Base, Solana, OP, Sui, Linea, Avalanche… combined. Yes, you read that right. Starknet is now the destination for big wallets and institutions. Why? - Cheapest + fastest L2 - Smoothest UX in crypto thanks to Native account abstraction - Cairo is eating the world of ZK talent - Still only ~$2.5B FDV while delivering Ethereum-level security The whales already rotated.
The builders already chose their home. Retail is still sleeping on it. When the inflows chart looks like this, you don’t fight the trend; you front-run the retail FOMO that’s about to hit. Starknet season is loading. Get positioned or watch from the sidelines (again).

Privacy is normal and networks that have strong privacy features will win. Chains like @Zcash that provide built-in shielded txs and @Starknet with roadmap for protocol-level privacy at scale bring unique value to users. @Ztark_Labs (Ztarknet) already scales Zcash and brings its users full programmability without compromising on trust assumptions. Privacy by design is the way to go.
Privacy will be the most important moat in crypto. Why? Because secrets are hard to migrate. Everyone is launching a new "high performance" blockchain lately. But these chains are hardly different from one another. Blockspace is functionally the same everywhere. And with bridges that make moving between chains easy, that blockspace is now accessible *from* everywhere. Mercenary users and capital quickly arriving on a chain to farm an airdrop can leave just as quickly to farm the next one on another chain. The reality is that if your "general purpose" chain doesn't already have a thriving ecosystem, a killer application, or an unfair distribution advantage, there's very little reason for anyone to use it or build on top of it. Performance alone is no longer enough. Privacy is the one feature that everyone agrees is critical for the world’s finance to move onchain. It’s also the one feature that almost every blockchain that exists today completely lacks. For most chains, it has been little more than an afterthought until now. Privacy by itself is sufficiently compelling to differentiate a new chain from all the rest. But it also does something more important: it creates chain lock-in. Bridging tokens is easy, but bridging secrets is hard. As long as everything is public, it's trivial to move from one chain to another, thanks to bridging protocols like LayerZero. But, as soon as you make things private, that is no longer true. There is always a risk when moving in or out of a private zone that people who are watching the chain, mempool, or network traffic will be able to figure out who you are. Crossing the boundary between a private chain and a public one—or even between two private chains—leaks all kinds of metadata like transaction timing and size correlations that makes it easier to track you. Compared to the many undifferentiated new chains whose fees will likely be driven down to zero by competition, blockchains with privacy have a much stronger network effect. When you're on public blockchains, it's easy to transact with users on other chains—it doesn't matter which chain you join. When you're on private blockchains, on the other hand, the chain you choose matters much more because, once you join one, you're less likely to move and risk being exposed. This will create a winner-take-most dynamic. And because privacy is essential for most real-world use cases, a handful of privacy chains will own most of crypto.
