My problem as a high school teacher is that they keep socially promoting kids along even though they know the kids aren't passing. So then, when they reach high school the kids can't read past third grade and at that point it's difficult to do interventions that will help them actually catch up to their on grade level peers.

🚨 This guy walked into a Cabot, Arkansas farmstand yesterday and helped himself to an armful of fresh baked goods… without paying a single dollar.
Root & Rise is a small, family-run honor-system farmstand owned by Amber and Brett. They bake slow-rise sourdough loaves, brownies, pies, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and other from-scratch treats. Yesterday this man loaded up and walked off with a huge armful of their work.
Honor system does not mean free. When someone does this, it doesn’t just hit Amber and Brett—it hits the whole family’s hard work, the early mornings, the effort, the ingredients, and the trust that lets small farmstands like this even exist. These hits add up fast for small businesses just trying to make a living. 😞
If you recognize him or know anything, Amber and Brett would appreciate the help. Support the local people who actually bake and stock these stands. 💪
