Trump’s lawyers are now asking for the judge to extend their deadline to file a response to the motion for protective order from Monday to Aug 10. documentcloud.org/documents/…

He’s testing the waters to see how much he can get away with. This would land any other criminal defendant in jail for violating the conditions of his release and for intimidating witnesses. Let’s see how Judge Chutkan handles this defiance of her judicial authority.
Free speech is one thing, but this is over the line. As a prosecutor, I'd be sorely tempted to make a motion to revoke Trump's pre-trial bond & put him in custody. Let him explain it to the judge.

For the sake of the United States, everyone should be involved in the 2024 presidential election.

Based on his narcissistic and psychopathic pathology, mental healthcare professionals warned of his unfitness and dangerousness in 2015-16. He is a pathological liar, has a complete disregard for the rule of law and for the rights of others. Trump continually proves us correct.

Donald Trump swore in court yesterday he would not attempt to influence or intimidate witnesses, retaliate against anyone, or in any other way attempt to obstruct the administration of justice. “Are you prepared to comply?” the magistrate judge asked. “Yes,” Trump replied.

An informed citizenry is the backbone of democracy. @tribelaw brilliantly underlines the necessity of broadcasting Donald Trump's court proceedings. All Americans have a right to witness justice served. latimes.com/opinion/story/20…

Literally ANYONE else posting this would get their bail conditions revoked and would be headed straight to jail until trial. This is intimidation of witnesses, prosecutors, jurors — and the judge. It’s NOT legal. Lock. Him. Up.

Trump starts making threats just 22 hours after the judge warned him not to. Will they hold him accountable or let it slide yet again like they always do?

This is the kind of thing that DOJ alerts the court to with respect to any defendant out on bail (in this case, in 3 criminal cases, and also is a threat in civil cases like E Jean Carroll). Not addressing this will only cause it to metastasize with undue deadly risks.

Why I think Trump will be sentenced to jail in the DC case:
In a breaking news edition of “Prosecuting Donald Trump”, @AWeissmann_ and Mary McCord dissect Trump’s latest indictment and why Andrew thinks the former president could go to jail over these charges. Click here to listen: link.chtbl.com/kKDwm9Yw

Stop calling them “conservatives” and call them what they are, “extremists”. They chose Trump over America. They’re a threat to our democracy, and they’re still in office.

Perhaps what really makes Jack Smith understand the mentality and danger sweeping this country is his time working on international war crimes. My own work in that area certainly impacted my views. nytimes.com/2023/07/31/opini…
