More gaming fun! I posted the other day about a test I'd made using the idea of a zombie shooter on a subway station I got from the excellent @bijanbowen videos.
I've continued working on it now, and it's much more fleshed out, lots of bugs and performance issues fixed. Runs for free in your browser. Best on desktop.
Started life in Astra then moved to Opus 5.5
Please feel free to jump in and let me know what you think!

I gave Opus and Astra the same prompt to make a simple game. Opus has completed the full game and 2 rounds of extras. Astra is still thinking almost 2hrs later. @ChatGPT you guys need to get things sorted. The screens don’t even match! Absolute joke. Oh. And I’m on the $500 plan. No dots as I’m in the UK.

Oh my god. This is what Astra produced after all that time…. You tell me which is best.

1,829 classic games have been rebuilt by fans to run natively on modern PCs.
Awesome Decomp Games tracks 2,118 projects that took old games apart and rebuilt them, rated and refreshed daily:
→ Zelda: Ocarina of Time on PC at 60 fps in widescreen, with a randomizer and mods
→ Majora's Mask recompiled with ultrawide and high frame rates
→ Super Mario 64 with online co-op for up to 16 players
→ Sonic Unleashed from Xbox 360, Star Fox 64 and hundreds more
→ 42 games you can play right in your browser
Most projects need files from a copy of the game you own. The list only links to source code, never game files.

I used Gemini 4 Argon to make Subway Surfers for the new flying Tesla Roadster 🚀
Fly over moving traffic, hit the thrusters to barrel roll in the sky, and collect air power-ups to set a high score.

Inspired by the excellent @bijanbowen benchmarks in his videos I made a zombie subway shooter today! Still working on it but pretty pleased with it. I think moody lighting helps a lot!! That was an accidental addition by @Kimi_Moonshot K3 then I ported to GPT Astra for this version. 100% more fun on desktop.

This new wave of agents like Muse, Grok Bot, and dots is the only way (so far) these AI providers can build any kind of brand loyalty.
Most people will not want to switch back and forth based on who has the best model or the best price.
Not once the agent knows your projects, your people, your connectors/accounts, and how you like things done, etc.
These companies realize this, which is why they're pushing so aggressively here.
The models themselves keep getting closer. Whoever's best this month usually gets matched within a few weeks. So the fight is over who holds your memory, and I doubt any of them will make it easy to export.
What comes to mind now is building a system where you own the data and workflows so you can plug and play with any one of these providers, making it easy to switch.
Memory as plain files on your own machine, skills and cron jobs you wrote yourself, and the model as one setting you change whenever something better or cheaper comes along.
This is why Hermes is so great. I own everything and swap out models as I need to.
Just another Wonder-full example of why you shouldn’t trust benchmarks. Run your own tests and form your own opinion.

After watching this as a kid, all I wanted for Christmas 1982 was a bottle of bubble liquid, a blower and 20 B&H Superkings.
