We said farewell- from the political lobby - to our friend Miriam Lord last night. She gave a uniquely inspiring speech at her ‘do’, full of optimism for the journalists who came to see her off. Dail said goodbye too 👇

I wish I could say I enjoyed Japan and South Korea 2002 as much as the World Cups of my childhood

Is right, Andoni lad, that’s me all in 👇 “For me, football is about emotions. About passion. “I’m quite cool-headed probably, during my life quite rational, I would say. But it’s true that when the game starts, when you have to celebrate a goal, something is inside, no? “I think this inner energy, you need it as a player, you need it as a supporter, you need it as a coach. No better place than Anfield.”

Ken Early: Mohamed Salah will long be remembered as one of Liverpool’s best players

Never a lethal finisher like Messi, Son or Kane, but he was the best at getting chances to score

Today, as every day, we remember Diogo Jota on what would have been his 29th birthday. All of our love, thoughts and prayers continue to be with his wife Rute, his children, parents and all of his family and friends, as well as those of his brother, Andre. Forever in our hearts, forever our number 20 ❤️

I completely oppose plans to rename Herzog Park. It is wrong. We are an inclusive Republic. This proposal is offensive to that principle. I urge all Party Leaders to join me in opposition to this. I agree with the statement from ⁦⁦@HMcEntee⁩ gov.ie/en/department-of-fore…

Statement by Minister McEntee on Herzog Park

Herzog Park is named for Chaim Herzog who was born in Belfast and grew up in Dublin
