Ethiopian wolves have been seen feeding on nectar! 🐺
They are the first large carnivore documented doing this - and may be acting as pollinators too. New from @Arctic_paws @ClaudioSillero @WildCRU_Ox @UniofOxford 👇

On August 12, #India celeberated #WorldElephantDay2024 & heard a lot from @moefcc on all the great things v have done for #elephants.
I would like to hear from @moefcc and @ForestDeptWB
now on the horrific harassment, torture and killing of an #elephant in #Jhargam #WestBengal by a 'Hulla Party' in full view and knowledge if not endorsement of the

#silentkiller of the park. Jungle cat hunts rather small animals but it's incredibly elegant when observed closely. It moves around quietly without giving any idea of its presence. #MELA #Fieldwork #Distractions

Meet Abimanyu Madhusudanan @AbhimanyuMadhu2, Abimanyu loves working on mammals. He rides with @vivekhsridhar and handles kit management for team #MELA. His plate is full both on and off the #fieldwork. Abhimanyu just started his masters in Ecology.

Meet the ghost of the grassland. Danger is always lurking around the corner. First you see it and then slowly it just vanishes in thin air. They are mostly spotted by the blackbucks but often they drop their guard and are taken down. #MELA #Fieldwork #diaries

Yes these are indeed hugely helping wildlife in avoiding the flood waters. Also I have come to know that 17 of these high grounds were built by the Indian army in 2002-03 and were structurally perfect. @kaziranga_ wouldn't it be much more efficient if the army were to help again
These high grounds by @kaziranga_ have been a great help in greatly reducing #wildlife casualties in floods.
