I jsaved some newbie Indian Solent university students £15 uber ride from Southampton central station to their hostel telling them to walk the distance. Their English speaking proficiency is average but I think they would survive if they get more social & not introverted.

Well, Hellfire is a Church Concept, but not a biblical Concept. It is not based on Christian scripture, but on doctrinal incorporation during the institutionalisation of Christianity.
Note: Christianity at its core is not the same thing as the Church, the Institution. The former is based on following the Christ; the latter is based on incorporating human cultural and political doctrines.
It is from this need to politicise the faith that they invented doctrines that warranted 2 Nicean Councils to convene, reconcile, and create many Christian doctrines accepted as scriptural today.
Like the doctrinal interpretation that Jesus is God, whereas the text has other perspectives, and the overwhelming perspective from the Scriptures is that Jesus is the Son of God, not God. (Argument for another day.)
So the Concept of Hellfire is as flawed as the Concept of the Trinity, especially when you reference the original text.
And I will prove it by providing the four words that were mis-translated as Hell Fire.
1. Sheol (שְׁאוֹל) - Hebrew word for 'The realm of the dead or Grave.' Has nothing to do with fire. It simply means the underworld or Grave.
2. Hades (ᾅδης) - Greek word for 'Realm of the dead'. You can simply say the underworld. Again, no connection to Fire.
3. Tartarus (ταρταρόω / Τάρταρος) - Greek word for 'A Place of confinement for rebellious angels'. That's to say, a prison for bad angels. Again, no connection to eternal Fire.
4. Gehenna (γέεννα) - Greek for 'The Valley of Hinnom. This is the only word associated with Fire. But in the context, it was used not to explain or describe an eternal Fire of torment.
The word was used as both a Metaphor and a Symbolic Allusion.
An allusion referencing a place and a time in history, a place and a time in the history of the Jews or Hebrew people.
The valley was located south/southwest of ancient Jerusalem. Its biblical background is particularly dark:
In 2 Kings 23:10, the site called Topheth in the Valley of the Sons of Hinnom was associated with child sacrifice to Molech.
In Jeremiah 7:31–32, God condemns what was done at Topheth and says the place will become associated with judgment and death.
In Jeremiah 19:2–6, the valley becomes a symbol of catastrophic divine judgment.
So by the time of Jesus, “Gehenna” carried powerful associations with divine judgment.
So Jesus used it as a Metaphor for 'judgment,' not a physical fire of eternal torment.
Hellfire is an incorporated Christian doctrine by the Church, not a factual scriptural Truth by the Core basis of the Faith.
When I woke the first tweet I saw was this, so as a cultural Christian who is an Atheist, I have to say something because I can 😂😂

Please, identify those idiots and block them. The more you block them, the less visibility they get.
Thanks!
