🚨 #BREAKING: Since Lindsay Clancy not being found guilty, 82 mothers in America have murdered 123 of their children.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Lindsay Clancy's trial ended in a mistrial (hung jury) on Sept. 4, 2026, not a not-guilty verdict. Charges remain. The 82 mothers/123 children figure is from a video of cases since Jan. 2023, not the ~6 weeks since. No data shows that rate recently. npr.org/2026/09/04/nx-… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_o…

Aaron Rodgers is the bridge between NFL Generations
Not to make a guy feel old, but some players of Bucs relevance who have interceptions against Aaron Rodgers: -- Derrick Brooks (now 53) -- Gaines Adams (passed away in 2010) -- Antoine Winfield Sr. (son in 7th year with Bucs)

If Mo doesn’t have the worst outing of his career at the worst possible time, it would’ve been 5 titles in 6 years. I don’t think baseball will ever see a run like that again.
The New York Yankees are still the last team to three peat .

Brock Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant (last pick in the draft), and the movie “Mr Irrelevant” is being released this December ahead of Super Bowl 61. It’s about John Tuggle, who was born in ‘61. The last Mr. Irrelevant to win a Super Bowl was Ryan Succop, who won Super Bowl LV with Mike Evans, who signed with 49ers this season. Ryan Succop was born on the 262nd day of the year, and Brock Purdy was Pick 262.
The Super Bowl Champions lost with 29 points against the Super Bowl 29 Champions on Super Bowl 29 MVP, Steve Young’s birthday. The 29th NRL season this year began in the United States. Niners last won the Super Bowl with Steve Young 32 seasons ago, and they defeated the Super Bowl Champions with 32 points on Steve Young’s birthday. Young won 3 Super Bowl’s with Niners. They won by 3 points on his birthday. Steve Young was born in ‘61 and started his career in Los Angeles. This season is Super Bowl 61 in Los Angeles. “Kyle Shanahan” = 61 107th NFL season. “Christian McCaffrey” = 107 Niners last won in ‘95 against the team now in Los Angeles. They defeated Los Angeles #95 Myles Garrett in their season opener at the AFL Grand Final venue where Lions just won their 6th Premiership. Niners can win their 6th Super Bowl. 49ers scored 49-points in their last Super Bowl win, and 49ers can win Super Bowl LXI 49 days after Brock Purdy’s birthday. “Super Bowl” = 49 Raheem Morris won the last Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium, and he became 49ers defensive coordinator this season. Josh Allen was a 49ers fan and is sponsored by SoFi. San Francisco’s last Super Bowl win was in Miami against Chargers, and Miami’s head coach, Mike McDaniel signed with Chargers this season. Mike Evans won Super Bowl 55 wearing #13, and after signing with Niners this season he can win with #13 Brock Purdy. “49ers” = 55

I knew a guy who worked for Texas Instruments back in the day. He told me that after they created the first electronic hand calculator, they got a call from Bell Telephone. The folks from Bell were really worried. You see, when they created the first push-button phone, they did extensive tests and analyses to determine the EXACT BEST PATTERN for the number buttons. They wanted the pattern that would be the easiest for people to tap in the dark or via muscle memory. But when they saw that Texas Instruments' calculator had the exact opposite layout, Bell realized they must have blundered. "So," they asked. "What did your tests show?" The guys at Texas Instruments just gaped stupidly and said, "Tests?"

Brock Purdy says NFL quarterbacks can’t actually see where they’re throwing nearly 40% of the time, and explains why processing information is more important than having a strong arm "My quarterback coach, Brian Griese, the last couple years, he and I talked about that. He played 11 years, his dad’s Bob Griese. But we got talking about how really it’s 60/40. You can see about 60% of the time, and the other 40% you really can’t. I mean, it doesn’t matter how big you are." "He goes, that’s why it’s so important when it comes down to knowing coverages, knowing scheme, where our players are supposed to be, how many steps they’re breaking, and where the ball should be over a certain backer. All those things, man, it matters." "And that’s why guys, you know, if you go to a combine and all those things, you’re just throwing on air, and yeah, you look all good with a strong arm and fast, jumping, all that stuff. But when it comes down to 11-on-11 and you got guys that are a foot taller and you can’t see, it comes down to the processing." "Like before the play, I know that this safety is probably going to rotate down. It’s going to be one high, and I got one hitch, no more than that, to rip it where Deebo’s supposed to be, like just inside the hash. And there’s a backer that’s also got a 40-inch vert that I got to put it over. That’s what’s crazy, all those things when you’re fitting it in over the backer and underneath the deep safety."

Fun fact, the Night Watchman hypothesis of ADHD states that ADHD people have later circadian rhythms and have traits that are helpful in emergencies because some proportion of people needed to be up late, alert, protecting the group. In other words, ADHD may be an evolutionary adaptation.
Up to 78 percent of people with ADHD have a body clock that runs late, and moving that clock earlier has been linked to fewer ADHD symptoms. A 2025 paper by two Canadian doctors pulled the evidence together and laid out a treatment plan. Melatonin, the hormone that tells your body it's time to sleep, starts rising about 45 minutes later at night in children with ADHD and about 90 minutes later in adults. Brandon Luu of Queen's University and Nicholas Fabiano of the University of Ottawa gathered this research in Frontiers in Psychiatry. Sleep problems affect up to 80 percent of adults with ADHD and up to 82 percent of children. People with ADHD also tend to have a flatter, later daily cortisol rhythm, and some studies have found a smaller pineal gland, the tiny gland deep in the brain that makes melatonin. Their body clock genes show weaker daily swings too. Melatonin and bright light therapy have both moved the body clock earlier in children and adults with ADHD. Early studies link that shift to fewer ADHD symptoms, and sleep programs for children have improved symptoms, sleep, and daily functioning. Screening every ADHD patient for sleep and body clock problems is the first step in the plan the authors propose. After that come a fixed wake-up time, bright light in the morning, less light and screen time at night, regular daily routines, and low-dose melatonin for people whose clock is clearly running late. The paper is a perspective piece that summarizes earlier research, and much of the treatment evidence is still early. For the large group of people with ADHD whose clocks run late, the first steps it recommends are about light, timing, and routine. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4145…
