Solidarity forever! Today, the union at @nwlc will sit down to kick off bargaining for our second contract. We couldn't be more excited to fight for our unit to get the best contract we possibly can. LFG!!✊

Our laid off colleagues are officially no longer with the Law Center as of last month, but we’re doing one last push to raise money to support them through our mutual aid fund.

The funds we have gathered so far — over $2,000! — will go a long way with covering basic needs of our colleagues, but every dollar counts. We know it’s a tough time right now, but if you have anything to spare, please contribute to the fund. Link here: account.venmo.com/u/nwlcunit…

It's been one month since the National Women’s Law Center laid off 20% of staff. We are proud to announce that the union was able to secure 3 additional months of COBRA health care coverage & 2 additional weeks of severance pay for our laid off unit members.

We look forward to continuing this process, and we’re grateful for those of you who have already contributed to the mutual aid fund for our laid off colleagues.

One week ago—with half an hour of notice given to the union, and in the midst of bargaining for our second contract—the National Women’s Law Center announced it would be eliminating 20% of staff, laying off 32 of our colleagues (including 21 members of our unit).

We will be sitting down at the table with management for impact bargaining soon, and we will have more updates to come. In the meantime, please support our colleagues in any way you can by donating to our mutual aid fund: venmo.com/u/nwlcunited

RECOGNIZE NOW! More than a month since we went public, Carnegie management has continued to drag their feet, and we still have no answer about whether they will do the right thing and voluntarily recognize us. @CarnegieEndow @danbbaer @AlisonMarkovitz @NonprofitUnion @IFPTE

We always knew that Trump was lying about Project 2025. And this agenda – HIS agenda – promises to dismantle labor unions because we are a pillar of democracy and a check on power. Labor will be there to defend working people. That's what we do, and what we've always done.
Donald Trump has won the election, and Republicans are now comfortable openly admitting that Project 2025 was the plan all along. Story: rollingstone.com/politics/po…

This union worker got hurt on the job. But because of his union contact he has 18 months, a year and a half at full pay to not work and heal up, before his job is in jeopardy.

Thousands of workers, like Jonei, are still struggling to make ends meet despite working multiple jobs. Watch our new video featuring Delegate @JeionWard on why we need a $15 minimum wage now. No one who works 40 hours should live in poverty! #FightFor15
