Looks like Microsoft added such a "lsof" feature to fsutil.exe file queryProcessesUsing in Windows 11 24H2. 🥳 It uses the same Vista-old syscall I am using in my PowerShell script. The choice is yours :) BTW I have created my script literally one month before 24H2 release. 😎

Windows search is kindof dogshit. There is a software called ”Everything” that will forever change your life. It will find any file on your machine faster than you can type the name of it. It is damn near magic. voidtools.com/downloads/

1/n I have some bittersweet news to share. Today is my last day at Microsoft. After 12 years working on debugging tools, I'm going to start something new. My team is amazing, and I'm really going to miss them. Big thanks to them and all who used WinDbg and helped make it great.

I just made a proof of concept console debugger with Terminal.Gui + DbgX and it's honestly not half bad. Not really much code at all to get it working. I'm also using ReactiveUI. It's neat, but I haven't really wrapped my head around it yet.
