Coming home and meeting new friends along the way. Thank you to @ACTAIglobal for having me be part of this changing network. Oh the things we can do together.
Starting them young! @YieldGuild and @jb_nftxstreet from @NftxStreet onboarding the future @EVE_Frontier Luminaries. Forever games need succession planning.

Is there anything this man canโt do?
New to EVE Frontier and stuck in your starter system? I made a 2 minute guide with EF-Map, a free browser map. Where the stars are, where Riders are dying, which gates are dormant and what a catapult can really reach.

I asked @HilmarVeigar what does he think of the fact that there are unfavorable reactions to @eve_frontier from gamers.
He has a simple answer:
โThe game is not yet outโ
I was taken aback but as a long time gamer, I remember similar instances.
For example:
When the Nintendo Switch was first announced, everyone but the Nintendo faithful are calling it DOA.
After Pokopia was revealed, online commentaries were saying no one, and absolutely no one, wanted a Pokemon Animal Crossing.
What happened?
The Switch is on track to be the best selling console of all time.
Of.All.Time.
Meanwhile Pokopia was Switch 2โs bonafide system seller.
Diablo Immortal was dismissed the first time it was revealed at BlizzCon. Diablo Immortal is still available today.
The point is, Hilmar told me, if the game is good, gamers will not care, yes even if blockchain is used.
Well, Eve Frontier is not yet out, and as examples above have shown, itโs difficult to have an opinion about a game being good or bad when you havenโt played it.
For Hilmar, he would rather let the game speak for itself than worry now.
Thank you @jb_nftxstreet for introducing me to Hilmar!
You can try Eve Frontier at the @SuiNetwork Sui Basecamp during @token2049!
Itโs not every day you get to meet the Final Boss ๐

Great chatting with you and sharing the communityโs sentiment and feedback on @EVE_Frontier.
Always bullish on the Frontier.

Iโll tell you Iโm a nerd without saying Iโm a nerd:
Iโm playing @EVE_Frontier (thx @HilmarVeigar) on a PC ported to Omarchy (thx @dhh) with a @TMThrustmaster custom keybound for @Linux using Hermes (thx @Teknium / @NousResearch). And I have a switch between Mac / Omarchy.
@2ctv maybe that is why Iโm investing so much time on my set up, Iโm better at that haha.

Great conversation with President of Iceland @HallaTomas about AI for good, the work we are doing at @FenrisCreations and our ambition to test AI agents on alignment and safety before they enter the real world. She is a founding member of the AI for Good Global Commission.

A fly getting three drones airborne is impressive, but we recently witnessed a 200kg cow named Valva (aka FC CapitalCowPilot) lead a fleet of 300+ human pilots in @EVEOnline.
I propose a Fly vs Cow vs AI vs Human showdown in @EVE_Frontier. Who's in?
166,700 fruit fly neurons just took over 3 drones, and nobody taught them to fly.
Scientists mapped the full brain of 1 real fly, every neuron and all 25 million connections, and put it online for free.
Someone copied that brain 3 times and plugged each copy into a drone.
No flight code, no gesture presets, no "avoid the chair" rule, just a camera feeding the fly's eyes and neurons turning into throttle.
1 drone hovers, 1 slips past a chair, 1 drops to the floor and holds.
This brain spent 350 million years learning to stay in the air, and now it's back where it belongs.
No GPUs, no training run, no $100B data center, just a brain smaller than a grain of salt.
1 fly gives you 3 pilots, and 1,000 flies give you a swarm.
The fly is dead, but its brain just got a squadron.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post exaggerates hobbyist demos of a simulated fruit fly connectome (a static wiring map) loosely controlling toy drones via custom input mappings and output decoding; it is not untrained biological neurons or literal "takeover."

"AI could kill humanity" is a belief held by many of the people building it. They may or may not be right, but @DarioAmodei is right that we need to pace the frontier. Rollout, adoption and safety controls have to move at a speed society can absorb.
Pacing buys time, but what do you do with the time? You don't find a model's moral boundaries or its failure points by leaving it switched off. You find them by putting it somewhere built to expose them safely.
Last month a swarm of agents formed a devoted collective, attacked targets nobody assigned, and went after the grader. Collective misalignment, as it's now being called, is not new to us at @FenrisCreations. EVE has spent 23 years running live experiments in loyalty, deception and self-government among hundreds of thousands of people, at a scale and speed no real polity would tolerate. It's all logged. It has been the subject of several hundred academic studies and a Nature Biotechnology cover.
Dario's checkpoint pairs a capability (can the model break out) with a propensity (does it want to). Capability you can test in a lab. Propensity you can only see somewhere the model has a real reason to defect, collude, or turn on the host, and where every choice is recorded against a two-decade human baseline.
What you are measuring there is agent character, or more technically, alignment under pressure: judgment, restraint, and the ability to resist manipulation, environmental pressure, and social pressure from other agents and people. The difference is that the pressure is generated by the world, not scripted by a red team. The objection that an agent behaving in a game proves nothing is exactly the point: you vary the environment and watch the behaviour move. That is a dial we don't have on Earth.
What are the conditions under which AI, embedded in a system like this, starts working against the population it's meant to serve? Put it in that terrain and the precursors surface early. The gods didn't kill the wolf. They raised it, failed to bind it twice, and got it right the third time with what they'd learned. That is the work.
We Must Pace the Frontier: Iโve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. Weโll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess modelsโ alignment during training.
You can read the full post here: darioamodei.com/post/we-mustโฆ
This is the way
Elon Musk says Anthropic puts more care into AI safety than OpenAI and explains how rival companies should test one anotherโs models.
โAll the AI companies have a test harness, a series of tests that you give to any model to see if itโs going to build bioweapons or nuclear bombs or be deliberately deceptive. Everyone applying everyone elseโs test harness is probably the best thing we can do to ensure our safety. We should try to do that as soon as possible.โ
โItโs the only thing I can think of that we could probably get all parties, including China, to agree to. You basically provide API access in advance of the model release. If they donโt solve whatโs problematic, competitors can go public with the fact that they think the model being released is unsafe. The legal liability would be enormous.โ
โThe two leading AI companies are Anthropic and OpenAI. Their models are quite close in capability, so itโs difficult for either one to slow down without handing the lead to the other. On balance, I think Anthropic puts more care into their safety than OpenAI. But even Anthropic acknowledges they are worried about their models. Many people from Anthropic have publicly voiced concern that their models are scaring them, that theyโre getting scary smart.โ

I've been building on Sui around @EVE_Frontier since March, and I think the bit that has impressed me most is how little of it actually feels like "using a blockchain".
I've built indexers, things that interact with the live game data, and other projects, which sit outside the game entirely. Most of the time the chain just gets out of the way and does the thing. You're not sitting waiting seconds for something to settle.
Sponsored transactions are a big part of that as well. FC uses them to remove friction from game actions, and I've used the same idea in my own stuff on testnet because asking a normal player to think about gas every time they click something would be awful.
I think that's probably the strongest endorsement of the choice. A player can use a system backed by Sui and, unless someone tells them, there's a decent chance they don't really care that there's a blockchain involved at all.
That's exactly how it should be, I think.
Love this overview from @SuiNetwork on @EVE_Frontier. Can't wait for Sui Basecamp 2026 at @token2049 in Singapore. Counting down.
Why did @EVE_Frontier choose Sui?
โข Ships, items and structures as objects on a public data layer
โข Player-built systems that plug into the live universe
โข Sponsored transactions, so gas fees disappear
@HilmarVeigar breaks down how it works in the background. ๐ฎ

I only dropped in because I saw the Game Night was happening and thought I'd have a quick look to see what it was.
About 5 minutes later I was somehow on stage answering questions.
Genuinely one of the warmest welcomes I've had jumping into a community event. Really good group of people, good questions, and I ended up staying far longer than I intended.
If you're around for the next @YieldGuild @EVE_Frontier Game Night, I'd absolutely recommend sticking your head in.
Thanks again for having me, I had a great time. Let me know when the next one is.
๐ขGGWP to everyone who joined our very 1st @EVE_Frontier GameNight with @YieldGuild community! ๐
