A detailed thesis on controlled randomness. "Sensitive Dependence: An Exploration of the Unpredictable" (Congrats, Naomi! Looking forward to reading this.)
If anyone wants to read my thesis about generating chaos and pseudorandomness in hardware and software, it's up now: mtiid.calarts.edu/wp-content…

You guys, I’ve figured out Instagram’s audio algorithm. It’s: ShitLimiterFactorySingleton.getInstance().generateShitLimiter(const hahawut).destroyAmbiguously(reel.audio);

“Rapid Unexpected Dissasembly” was pretty much the status quo when I was seven years old, screwdriver in hand.

Death is stupid. This is occasioned by learning that Ryuichi Sakamoto, who was such an incredible and inspiring musician, passed on. But honestly amazing human beings die all the time. It’s unacceptable, and should stop.

I’ve never wanted to buy a gun this much. There are lines, and on the other side there is armed struggle. Try enacting these policies and find out.
So this is what we are up against. A national transgender ban in 2024. This is what they are planning. DeSantis is practicing this through executive actions in Florida. Trump is openly saying he will do the same. Transgender kids will be one of the #1 issues of 2024.

Okay! 👏 I want to spend the new few months focusing on building an interactive, open source, browser-based KiCAD file viewer. I'm looking for sponsorship to make that happen, and I'd love if you'd consider it: theacodes.notion.site/KiCanv… Sharing always appreciated 💜

Like in pop, in electronic music mechanized studio labor is all over our instruments. (The famous Roland JV card is called “Session.” Who does that replace??) But we break with that origin as much as we return to it. 4/4

There is of course a place for taste as well as a nuanced critique of the role of money and industry in determining particular qualities of our music. But as often as not, nuanced critique will find anticapitalism all over pop, too—capitalism creates resistance. 3/4

Two kinds of things get splattered all over w capitalism: people who can’t afford to climb out of the muck, and industries that are heavily technological. Think carefully whether you want to position yourself against those. 2/4

As much as I love gravely deliberated music without discernible notes, pop and it’s icons like Swift and Madonna are also amazing. Yes, capitalism sucks. But trashing its products and the classes that consume them is just reactionary. 🧵1/4
