Preprints are free to post and read (which is fantastic!) but the services that enable this aren't free to run. So, how can we financially sustain these services?

This blog is my reflection on the current situation, building on _many_ other people's work and opinions.
In terms of my economic bias, I see plenty of examples of biz models that differ from monopoly capitalism & I believe we should have a choice as consumers.
There's also lots of work to do on how to support peer review on preprints. Plenty of inspiring people working on this, many of which I had the joy and privilege to meet with in December, thanks to @ASAPbio_ @HHMIJanelia @EMBO @InvestInOpen investinopen.org/blog/next-s…
