Gave my TV live @Polymarket game odds charts You really can just do things nowadays
Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

I’d like to see the proliferation of new hedges that leverage prediction markets alongside public stock. Think: - Knicks game outcomes vs. long/short $MSGS position - Number of SpaceX launches vs. L/S $SPCX - iPhones sold vs. $AAPL Probably some good trades in there somewhere

1 month into @Polymarket and I can safely say I’ve never seen a more talented team being assembled. Everyone says they are product first but it’s easier said than done. We really are doing it here. Lots of cool new stuff coming alongside countless improvements to the existing platform

Excited to announce that @travisv has joined Polymarket as Chief Growth Officer. From being TK's growth lead at Uber, to CRO of Yammer under Sacks, to being founder and CEO of Bird (responsible for both my love of Paris and a couple bloody chins) When it comes to growing marketplaces, nobody does it better. This time with software instead of hardware. Welcome to the team.

we’re moving to twap for short duration crypto markets. prediction markets are maturing and risk management has to keep up. we'll be offering $1m in liquidity rewards across these markets through August. trading crypto on polymarket or want to? dm me to get in touch, plenty more exciting things coming to the platform.
To protect market integrity in our crypto up/down markets, we're updating how these markets resolve. What's changing: Starting August 7th at 12 am UTC, affected markets will no longer resolve based on a single snapshot-in-time price. Instead, resolution will use a time-weighted average price (TWAP), with the averaging window scaled to the length of the market (detailed below). Liquidity rewards: To support liquidity through this transition, we're adding $1M in liquidity rewards across all impacted markets through the month of August. Market Details: - All crypto 5 min markets: 30 second TWAP - All crypto 15 min markets: 60 second TWAP - All crypto 4 hour markets: 60 second TWAP Developer access: Chainlink TWAP testnet feeds are available now. Mainnet feeds and Polymarket RTDS delivery are scheduled to launch on August 4, 2026. At launch, developers can consume TWAP prices directly through Chainlink Data Streams or through Polymarket’s public Real-Time Data Streaming WebSocket. Integration instructions, feed IDs, SDK examples, and testing guidance are available here: docs.polymarket.com/market-d…

This and its reply are my magnum opus
“Algorithms flattened idiosyncrasy and rewarded conformity” “Artisans were displaced by the […] hackers” These feel like the distilled essence of slopification I often think about this through the lens of the NBA shot chart Given enough time, hackers come to smooth out the edges in any attractive art, turning it into mass-produced slop

A simple theory: people didn't move towards experiences over luxury status goods because they got more enlightened; the shift happened because of Instagram, which turned ephemeral experiences into durable status signals
Money people always had one advantage over pleasure people, numbers. You can show money. You can’t show experience. So they could always say you wasted your life. Then cameras and Instagram arrived. Now experience has reciepts. Photos became currency. You can show them and say here look I didn't waste anything. And the public ended up recognizing it.

I guess I’m in the top 1%
Who Wins and Who Loses In Prediction Markets? I read a research article about who actually makes money on Polymarket. Dataset: 1.4M users, 70M trades, $20B volume. Here are the main points: > Top 1% of users capture 84% of all gains > 70.8% of users lose money > Market makers beat takers at 80 out of 99 price levels > Buying contracts below 10¢ is the #1 way to lose money (they are systematically overpriced) > Overtrading makes losses even worse

Pay attention
New: Kalshi wins against New Jersey in Third Circuit court of appeals in the biggest decision to date on the legality of prediction markets and whether federal law preempts state gaming law.

Replying to @Clark10x
99% of these people who post about Polymarket bots are lying. If you have a profitable strategy and an edge, you keep it in secret because the edge will disappear once it's known to the public.

This tweet is a Rorschach test. At first I read it as: “If you’ve been around long enough to recognize this, you’re ahead of the curve enough to retire yourself in the next few years” Then I read it as: “If you’ve been using this (code editor) get ready to be made obsolete”
If you recognize this image, I hope you enjoy your upcoming retirement
