Banning HUDs is dumb and basically impossible to enforce. Thread:
This isn't about whether you like HUDs or not. I totally accept that some players prefer a more analytical approach to poker, with lots of stats, while others prefer playing without HUDs because they see it as a cleaner, fairer, purer way of playing poker.
I'm just here to tell you that HUDs cannot really be banned. Or, to be more precise, only the ones used by people who follow the rules can be banned.
Whether you like it or not, having stats on your opponents in online poker is a thing. It has been a thing for way too long for players to just give it up. Legal HUDs can be banned, but there is pretty much no way to reliably enforce a ban on underground HUDs.
Poker sites can monitor running processes, but there are ways to capture your screen without running any screen recording software on your PC.
Nowadays your friendly ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Gemini... will happily help you build an app that reads nicknames and actions from the captured video/screenshots, converts them into .txt hand histories, sends them to another PC running Hand2Note, PokerTracker, Holdem Manager, DriveHUD... and generates a HUD there.
Instead of using a remote desktop app that can be detected in running processes, you could just view it through your browser. I don't think any poker site is planning on banning you from using Chrome, Safari or Firefox during a session. And detecting that is virtually impossible. (Maybe some behavioral patterns, if you exploit someone too hard? I seriously doubt it.)
Or, if that's still too complicated, there are already websites that are basically cloud HUDs available for a subscription. And they already have huge databases of datamined hands ready.
AFAIK, these are mostly for cash games, but if regular HUDs get banned, I'm sure cloud MTT HUD alternatives will appear. Especially nowadays, with how easy these things are becoming to vibe-code.
It won't be as comfortable as a regular HUD, but it will be virtually impossible to detect.
And instead of accepting that some players have an advantage from using HUDs, which are allowed on certain sites and available to anyone, you're now giving an even bigger advantage to people willing to break the rules and bypass the restrictions.
Good luck enforcing that rule unless someone is dumb enough to expose themselves using prohibited software on social media. (Shoutout to the former ACR pros. 😂)
And GG is now taking this even further by banning trackers that aren't even interacting with GG. So someone playing GG alongside PokerStars or ACR can't have a legal HUD running on those sites either. Meanwhile, someone willing to break the rules might still get HUD stats on GG itself.
So that's it? Just let evil, predatory regs quickly strip recreational players of their money using HUDs with their own hand histories, or possibly even quicker with datamined hands?
No. There are other things you can do to lessen the gap between professional and recreational players.
Let's start with giving everyone a useful built-in HUD.
Yes, I know, several sites already have basic HUDs in their clients. But WTF is that? Most recreational players have no idea what half of those stats even mean, let alone what the values should be.
Why can't anyone make it more user-friendly?
For example, why is there no poker site (AFAIK) that lets you save an actual hand to an opponent's profile?
Open the hand history, click "Save to player's notes". Done.
Next time you play against that opponent, you hover over their nickname and see the last five hands you've saved on them, displayed as little hand previews like in Hand2Note4. Click on one to open the full hand replay.
Maybe give players an option to mark their opponents with some simple badges like "loves hunting bounties", etc. Features that every recreational player will immediately understand.
Instead, you have things like GG showing a mini graph of a player's results from their last five tournaments. That is the most useless waste of space imaginable. Whether someone cashed or made a final table in their last five tournaments has basically zero predictive value. Absolutely useless for judging how someone plays.
Changing nicknames is definitely something worth debating. Let losing recreational players change theirs more often? That's a reasonable thing to consider.
Try inventing new formats. Something that makes every decision a bit more unique and harder to put into stats. Knockouts are a perfect example of that. Situations with big bounties can definitely skew a player's stats.
I'm not saying everything should become some Monster Mystery Bounty gamble fest. Just experiment with small changes to formats, structures, etc.
Also, while we're on the topic of preventing predatory regs from quickly bleeding the fish dry...
WHY IS IT STILL SO REWARDING TO LATE-REG AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT AND STALL EVERY SINGLE HAND?
This is the dumbest way a player can get an edge.
Not by studying opening ranges, cbets, probe bets, ICM, exploiting opponents, maintaining their A-game throughout a long session...
No. Just play as few hands as possible to maximize your chances of min-cashing because late registration ends way too close to the money.
Yes, I know, poker sites are greedy and want to maximize the number of entries in every single tournament. But fighting HUDs while this remains a viable strategy to make money is truly bizarre.
BTW, while I'm on a rant (just a general one, not targeted at GG, AFAIK they don't have these), another incredibly dumb format is rebuy/add-on tournaments where the add-on gives you significantly more chips per dollar than the original buy-in.
Recreational players often don't realize how important taking the add-on is. Sometimes they don't even have enough money in their cashier for it.
So just knowing that you should late-reg at the last possible moment, stall until the add-on and make sure you have better price on your chips can give you a massive ROI boost without having to learn any actual poker strategy.
Oh, and if you really want you can actually solve the whole HUD problem by just making everyone anonymous in-game. But good luck expecting poker sites to police those games properly. Some of the anonymous sites out there aren't exactly famous for their game integrity. Quite the opposite. Also pretty boring when every opponent is just a random string of characters.
End of rant.
TL;DR:
You can't ban HUDs. You can only ban legal HUDs.
Same as with online poker itself. You can ban legitimate operators, but you can't ban all the shady, made-up-license, nonexistent-game-integrity, your-agent-will-probably-scam-you poker sites.
That's something we all know well.

retail will show up on the pumpfun app and lose all the money they can afford to lose and not touch it again. advertising the concept of 'trenching' will never ever work sustainably. the $50 means nothing if your algorithm leads normies to a callout page where 90% of calls are rug pulls. they will simply lose the $50 and never come back.
stop advertising trading and start advertising the trade. choose whatever coin u wanna crime n make hella normies money and they'll find themselves in the trenches within a week tops.

Checking who wins at impossible rates is the most basic integrity test there is. Players did it with mined hands and caught superusers, twice. GG, with every hand and every hole card, is announcing it as new in 2026.

After investigating the suspicious price movements of $SI (CA: DEW9dSN6QpWyNthphCpMmAbZP1Q4cEKR9xQXAri98WDP) here are my shocking findings ⚠️
@Jelitics FOMO address where he holds 4.1% of the supply is: mXvJVLBBVyi9o7E2rUAdnNzUyA7gFtabEjdKfCWRTtj
Yet he failed to mention that he has a side wallet DIRECTLY linked to his main FOMO wallet: 9w5Zu53ohJWD2rGCLMwaexZ6xHx1FcezuZDAmLkfnNir (thanks Arkham for helping me find this)
Guess what that wallet has been doing the last 2 days....
It has dumped (in the last 2 days): a total of 18.71 million $SI for a total of +- 2600 Solana 🤯
So while he bullposts on his FOMO account, he's selling 2600 Solana worth of tokens from a side wallet?
There's nothing wrong with selling, but this is pure deception... This is after 10mins of looking into it, god knows what i'll find if I keep digging.
Fuck this LARP. Explains why every $SI pump was followed by an instant dump 🐍

I truly don't hate Clemente or think he's a bad guy. Opposite, he's prolly a decent guy, who just found his niche making money with silly videos. Respect for that.
But the guy doesn't have the mental strength to trade. Which is why he always mistimes both entries and exits.
All you need to do to make it, is trade off his psychological insecurity. If he enters a trade long, you short. If you don't like shorting, just wait til he capitulates the long trade when he's down bad, and then you enter long.
His recent LIT trade is a perfect example.
You don't need to pay to find alpha, sometimes it's sitting right in front of you on the TL.

I keep seeing posts about $AI saying the ticker was never the thesis but I’m going to take the contrarian stance and say the ticker IS a substantial part of the thesis and has been from the start, saying otherwise is cope.
Do you know how many failed attempts there have been at an artificial Inu coin? Do you know how many times this idea has been tried? It’s because it is an obvious, god tier ticker & IP in relation to crypto.
We finally got one that worked, it still works, and (imo) it will work.
Nobody you know is ever going to call it SI and if they do it won’t be for years, AI is and likely always will be the collectively agreed upon terminology.
It has 70 years of mimetic and etymological dominance.
It isn’t going away, and the coin that captures this is still the lead contender for dog coin of the cycle. Bar none.

Bruh I genuinely can't believe the stupidity of the trenches sometimes and this whole $AI/ $SI shitshow might be the epitome of it.
I find it hilarious that people keep selling $AI every time orange man or one of his puppets says “SI,” like AI suddenly became some archaic term nobody recognizes anymore.
AI is a term that's been around for decades and is probably one of the most universally understood two-letter combinations on earth right now. You could say AI to my grandma and she'd know exactly what you're talking about.
That was always the entire joke of the coin. Take something literally everyone recognizes and meme it into the most universally understood meme format on earth: a dog.
And it didn't run because someone important kept saying “AI” on TV. It ran for a bunch of reasons. The ticker, the dog, the distribution, the timing, and the fact that it became the biggest RWA machine on the shiny new chain.
Which is also the difference between a memecoin and a catalyst coin.
Imagine if $AI pumped 30% every time Sam Altman said the word “AI.” It'd be fucking ridiculous. Nobody sits around waiting for the next Sam Altman interview to validate the existence of the meme. AI is the meme. It doesn't need someone to keep saying the magic word for it to work.
$SI is basically the opposite disguised as the same thing.
The entire thing exists because of a catalyst, and every subsequent mention of SI becomes another catalyst required to keep validating the meme. Put a badly photoshopped Superman cape on a dog and suddenly we're supposed to pretend this has some independent cultural significance outside of Trump occasionally saying two letters.
I could at least understand some stupid SUPERIDIOT coin running off the headline. That's what trenches are for. Make the actual event the joke and move on.
But pretending you've discovered the culturally superior successor to AI because you recycled the same dog in a badly photoshopped superman costume around a political soundbite is just bad taste, bad memetics and, honestly, cope.
And there's an obvious problem with catalyst coins pretending to be memes: eventually either the meme has to become bigger than the catalyst, or you need increasingly bigger catalysts to produce increasingly smaller reactions.
There's only one way that game ends.
And I think that's the part of trenches I despise the most now.
We've gone from finding memes to manufacturing “catalysts.” Every sentence, tweet or headline needs a new ticker attached to it. If the original coin runs too hard without you, you don't reconsider whether you missed the trade - you launch or bid 15 increasingly shitty derivatives until one sticks and call yourself early.
Even worse, we somehow idolize the people doing it. Guys with multi millions in their bank accounts who were sidelined for the biggest runner we've had in two years, spent the entire move throwing vamp after vamp at it because $AI itself created a ceiling big enough for one of them to hunt.
And maybe that's why it all feels so soulless now. Back in the day when we did have billion dollar runners, the meme used to create the price. Now everyone watches the price and desperately tries to create the meme afterwards.
i don’t even own any $AI but i do think this has got to be the most obvious bottom for that coin/community
super intelligence may be the new name for artificial intelligence but that will matter as much as X being the proper name for twitter does lol

A lot of fear, confusion and also tremendous hope on the TL today around AI. Now it’s more important than ever to refocus. I think this is probably the most important period we’ve had since the early days. The absolutely wild transformations and situations AI is going through are one in a billion opportunities, and this is another pivotal transition period.
First let me be super clear
I’m 1000% committed to keep pushing AI. There is nothing, and I repeat nothing, that can discourage me. If you think it scares me that people look up to me and believe I can impact the course of events, you are deeply wrong. I actually find it empowering and would rather have responsibility and power than neither(being passive and neutral and not setting a clear tone for your vision is why we keep playing the same games)
I also fully understand that I’m the biggest public face of the asset. Again, I’m reiterating a commitment like no other founder in this space has made. I will bring AI to the finish line and then straight to the next race(along with many cracked holders and aligned partners!) I understand the implications and have sufficient conviction in both myself and the asset to state this publicly. I’ve already said it and demonstrated it through my actions for 2+ months. I never give up as simple as this.
When we launched LONG on RH, it was clear to me that we were going to do the impossible and prove the case for PVE. Beyond the RWA angle, it was clear that any “meta”, as good as it might be, succeeds or fails based on one thing. The level of commitment and trust the launching platform can demonstrate. LONG can be the first real incubator for great assets by going above and beyond and caring about assets on our platform more than anyone else in the history of the space. And also optimizing for a different biz model/success metrics that come over the expense of making MUCH more fees/money for ourselves in the short term. I see no conflict here and want to make sure every top pair on LONG survives and thrives.
My thesis for AI
First, in what sense is AI PVE?
AI is the most impactful asset in recent crypto history. There has never been an asset this unique, reflecting the deepest desire of holders to believe again and finally break out of crypto and expand into the real world. These are the two main reasons it can become the greatest case study in crypto history.
You need to understand that the most bullish signal of AI’s importance is that almost every chain, project and launcher is comparing itself to AI, trying to flip it or kill it. Being irrelevant or confined to a narrow segment as the leader of X or a runner on launcher Y and chain Z creates a predictable path and hard ceilings.
it's not the kingmaker trade if no one tried to take it's place. And it will only get stronger(even more bullish)
We must protect this positioning and make sure AI can never be reduced to one single narrative, whether it’s the ticker, OG INU vibes, the canonical asset for RWAs or a platform token.
What will be the main factor driving AI to win?
It’s simply the most relatable asset for the largest group of people. I saw this Pump ad last night, then went a step further and looked at the Pump App Store screenshots. Everyone across chains, regardless of affiliation and whether they like to admit it or not, knows very well that AI is an extremely organic asset forged through pure grind and conviction. It has what it takes to onboard an incredibly large group of people into the space.
AI is the poster child of the space. It perfectly captures the OG ethos of believing that holding can actually change your life. It connects the past and its OG memes and assets with today’s desire to make crypto great again(whether you’re an OG or a newcomer who missed the cycle) and the future where we scale into the real world.
The closest parallel I see to crypto, a place with so much opportunity that often becomes PVP or just an insider rotation, is the world of finance and AI today.
It affects EVERYONE. From the sharp guy who graduated from MIT but couldn’t get into the big AI labs early as an employee to get like 30m in pre-ipo equity, to the average Joe who thinks AI is going to kill us all or mostly benefit the already rich, to the stock trader who can only get exposure to AI at an extremely high IPO valuation.
The goal of AI is to offer an alternative to the existing financial system, which is heavily focused on scaling the value of AI fast while leaving most people behind. Most importantly, it’s about empowering people with the belief that they can work together towards the same goal. It stars with the best in-class infra for the stock market of the internet but matched with the growing amount of people that want to try something new and getting better at growing with these.
Understand this and you realize it’s a mission rather than a specific bet on a ticker, meta or whatever. We will get to a point where the distribution is so unique and so battle tested(along with deep stock liq) that crypto cycles, chain rotations and the narrative of the day can't hurt the value of AI.
This is how the narrative spreads. At every stage of its growth, I can clearly see how AI can align with and onboard new marginal holders while continuing to grow. We are already see it expand from CT to serious capital allocators within the space, then to people outside crypto and eventually Trad Fi asset managers.
Every step here has a good plan.
The mission of LONG and its relationship with AI and other assets
The mission of LONG is to make tokenized markets valuable again. This is very important to understand because it immediately gives you a sense of what we mean by PVE.
There is no real scarcity of crypto flows or liquidity that create a 0 sum game between a 1b runner to another 100m runner, especially now as we enter a bull market. The real scarcity is fairly launched, high quality assets that are sustainable and produce real upside. Get even 10 of these and there will be still infinite demand to get into these rather than low quality ones.
I think of AI as a major asset like BTC. BTC definitely paved the way for other assets like ETH. At one point ETH even reached 90% of BTC’s market cap and became more attractive if you get in early, and SOL had its moment later on.
The communities behind these assets tried to flip each other, but eventually each asset survived and built incredible network effects around a specific category. I’d argue they helped each other establish themselves as the undeniable “majors”.
This is my vision for LONG as well. I want to see multiple generational assets that form the “LONG majors” category. Any asset on LONG that proves the high conviction HODL playbook and the ability to scale to a larger group of people is by definition a net positive for major assets on LONG, especially AI, and even more so for the entire space. One day we might see an asset like AI launched somewhere else or on another chain, assuming it becomes easier once the first one proves the case. That's ok. And again if you're really forcing yourself into PVP and 0 sum you can think at the HOOD stock, or hype or lit as competitors it's just a made up rule the only people are benefiting are these who want to a quick way to build reflexively and tap into an established asset.
You can also see quite clearly that other mature major runners haven’t hurt AI. We mostly see weakness when we enter full PVP mode, with launchers, KOLs and almost every interface optimized around short hold times. They are very good at creating that experience and breaking even the purest HODLers out there.
It’s important for AI to stay strong and break ceilings. Having its conviction tested and becoming stronger alongside other assets in the eco with different approaches is also part of the process BTC, SOL and ETH went through.
What makes AI antifragile?
First, the fact that it has survived what other assets couldn’t. A hundred things that would have killed any other pair, but not this one.
Then there are its many anchors.
The canonical asset for RWAs, closely associated with one of the highest potential categories we have, and the deepest onchain liquidity. Remember, AI has no major CEX listing and no MM. Its robustness comes purely from its onchain liquidity system (no central point of failure)
It’s paired with NVDA, the “AI” stock and the greatest blue chip, and benefits from its growth. It’s the most held new asset in crypto, with legendary lore and memetics, guys like DubmCrayon, board sit, incredible IP, a unique character with differentiated branding and a great ticker.
Then there’s the greatest memefi value accrual through the LongX flywheel, Community vault flywheel, Long500 flywheel and AI pairings flywheels. All of them benefit from real growth in demand related to RWA, LONG activity and the distribution AI achieves and nor just relay on platform vol or fees.
Each of these is strong enough on its own to take an asset to 1b. Together, they make it impossible to deal AI a fatal blow as long as holders understand the big picture.
The last part is simply not giving up, no matter what. I want to be clear here as well. No single holder or group of top holders will decide the fate of AI. I will keep pushing regardless, and I believe there are many holders like me.
There have been a lot of smart, sharp people who didn’t want to take a bet on LONG and me, and all of them missed tremendous upside. As always, everyone is welcome, but we are not trying to force conviction into anyone.
LONG.
