🚨 DAN COX UNVEILS DAY-ONE PLAN TO CUT 338 MARYLAND TAXES AND FEES, TARGET ELECTRIC BILLS
Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Cox is promising immediate action on Maryland’s affordability crisis, outlining an ambitious agenda to reduce taxes, lower electricity costs and roll back regulations if elected governor.
His proposal targets expenses affecting Maryland households, although several measures would require legislative approval or action by independent regulators.
▪️ 338 TAXES AND FEES: Cox pledges to suspend or reduce hundreds of charges, including vehicle registration fees, gas taxes, vehicle emissions inspection fees and family-related taxes.
▪️ ELECTRICITY RELIEF: Cox proposes negotiating lower electricity costs and returning savings to ratepayers. The plan does not specify how much households would save or which agreements could be renegotiated.
▪️ AFFORDABILITY EMERGENCY: Cox promises to declare a statewide emergency focused on rising household expenses and government regulations.
▪️ PROPERTY TAXES: His proposal calls for lower property assessment caps, although Maryland’s assessment and local taxation systems would limit what a governor could change unilaterally.
▪️ ENERGY PRODUCTION: Cox wants to accelerate the return of electric generating plants and reduce regulatory obstacles, subject to operational, environmental and federal requirements.
The proposal establishes a clear set of campaign priorities, but implementation would depend on legal authority, legislative cooperation and financing.
Which of these changes could take effect immediately, and how would Maryland replace revenue lost through the proposed tax and fee reductions?

Question 3 would strip Marylanders of their constitutional right to fair representation, open the door to extreme partisan gerrymandering, and potentially disenfranchise and silence over 1 million Marylanders.

🚨 JUST IN: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis BLASTS this urgent message calling on every Republican statewide to vote in droves this Tuesday — or Democrats will RIP APART the state
"PLEASE go out and vote on Tuesday."
Democrats just won the final day of in person early voting by +15K ballots with mostly blue-leaning counties open
"We've done so much in the great state of Florida. We've led the nation on so many things. We got to keep that momentum going — I'm asking you to vote for Republicans up and down the ballot."
"Vote yes on Amendment 3 to lower your property taxes. Do not give the Democrats an inch. If they get an inch, they'll take a mile."
"We don't want to end up like California. We don't want to end up like Illinois. We've got to keep the momentum going. Please vote Republican on Tuesday." ☀️
MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Most red counties did NOT count mail ballots today, but the current statewide advantage is R+134K 🟥
We want to swamp them Tuesday!

Wes Moore is the Liar in Chief of Maryland. Taxing you Moore and gaslighting you about it.
Pure Fantasyland:
Governor Moore,
You claim that “Transportation is the conduit to our future and that you cannot have economic mobility without physical mobility”.
That statement is difficult to take seriously when you and @mddems have systematically made owning and operating a car—the primary form of physical mobility —markedly more expensive.
Under @GovWesMoore and the Democrat majorities in Annapolis, vehicle-related fees & taxes have been raised and the results are straightforward:
• Vehicle registration fees jumped sharply effective July 1, 2024, then rose again in 2025. Annual costs ( for passenger cars are now roughly $120.50 (up to 3,500 lbs), $125.50 (3,501–3,700 lbs), and $191.50 (over 3,700 lbs). Pre-2024 biennial rates were far lower—on the order of $135/$187 for two years depending on weight. Many drivers saw increases in the 60–80% range.
• Certificate of title doubled from $100 to $200 (effective July 1, 2025).
• Vehicle excise tax increased from 6% to 6.5% to buy or sell a car.
• Emissions inspection (VEIP) fee more than doubled, from $14 to $30.
• Related fees also climbed: duplicate titles ($20 → $40), corrected titles ($40 → $80), replacement plates/tabs/cards ($20 → $40), and salvage inspections ($25 → $75).
• Historic vehicle eligibility was restricted (now limited to model year 1999 or earlier rather than any vehicle 20+ years old), pushing many older vehicles onto higher full registration rates.
• A new $5 per tire fee.
Maryland Democrats have chosen to treat car ownership as a revenue source rather than a necessity. That choice has concrete consequences for working families, small businesses, and anyone who needs a reliable vehicle to get to a job, a doctor, or a grocery store.
Actions matter more than slogans. The fee schedule you and the legislature approved has made car ownership less affordable, not more. If the goal is genuine physical and economic mobility, reverse course and lower these fees immediately.

Since Wes Moore and the Democrats’ supermajority took office in 2023, they’ve passed the largest tax and fee increase in state history, driving Maryland into an affordability crisis.
Take a look at how much more you’re now paying in taxes and fees just to own a vehicle in Maryland:

Doing the same thing every 4 years leads to...the same results. In Maryland that means more excessive spending-more tax increases-more credit downgrades-and more of us leaving for greener pastures. If you have had enough...vote RED...and NO on Question 3.
