Orpheus visited Norton at the hospital after the incident, and was saddened that Norton quit high jump and forgot about him. Orpheus never found an opponent better than Norton ever since, so he retired, but he’s willing to help the coach if it meant he could face Norton again.
The showdown was between Orpheus and Norton before Orpheus retired as an athlete. Norton got injured from it and was also scarred. Orpheus came to check on Norton's recovery. Norton doesn’t remember him, but Fugo does. Fugo and Orpheus wish to face each other again someday.
According to the event information, both Norton and Orpheus should be from the same university, aka Saint Ramon (Alice’s group/yellow team). Norton is officially part of the athletes, whereas Orpheus is part of the training staff (that explains his lack of stats).
