Good morning, everyone. ☀️🕊️ Today is the International Day of Peace, and for me, the day carries a more personal meaning. Having served myself, I have a particular respect for those who have worn the uniform on peacekeeping missions around the world. Peacekeeping isn't always about dramatic moments. Often, it's about standing watch, maintaining a fragile calm, helping people caught in conflict, and doing the difficult work of keeping the peace when there is little to no peace to begin with. Today, I’m thinking of those who served, those still serving, and those who never came home. Peace is something worth working for, and sometimes honoring it means remembering the people who stood between conflict and those caught in it.
