Devo…
🇺🇸Devo - Going Under

🇺🇸Blondie - Denis

Debbie Harry against a wall of records, wearing a T-shirt from the 1978 Telluride Film Festival. Look over her shoulder and there's the Shangri-Las' I Can Never Go Home Anymore. Blondie came out of the girl-group records, and you can hear it. One of their very first demos, in 1975, was a cover of the Shangri-Las' "Out in the Streets," and their first two albums were produced by Richard Gottehrer, who had worked with the Angels and other girl groups in the early '60s.
💛 Which girl-group song would you want to hear Blondie cover? 💛 👇️
ALT Color photo of Debbie Harry, with a platinum bob and red lipstick, in a yellow T-shirt printed with a red and green building and the words "5th Telluride Film Festival." She leans against a wall covered in record sleeves, one hand open beside the Shangri-Las' I Can Never Go Home Anymore. Above her are the Bay City Rollers' Rock n' Roll Love Letter, a yellow and red Mouse album and an album of four Japanese girl singers in colorful outfits.
