A fantastic write-up, especially for neurodivergents. Totality of the work can be best assessed by velocity of progress of making the unknown palatable.

I happened to be classmates with @PoShenLoh, who described a textbook reading technique he called "the bulldozer method", where you do all of the exercises. That seemed bonkers and I filed it away as something a genius like Po could do, but impractical for normal people.

Get your inbox under control. Make time, unsubscribe from shit you don't read, have AI summarize things you still want to keep on top of, action your invoices, and reply to people you care about. It's out of control because you let it.

Someone has to make something for anyone to make anything.

I've just searched all of youtube and I'm excessively surprised that no-one has yet made a compilation of @rickygervais saying "mental". I need to send it to someone.

Have you yet embraced the fact that kids are alive today who's reality is that you could ALWAYS talk to the computer and have images made, stories told and problems solved. Use your brains and start thinking about tomorrow, this stuff is important.
8 year olds can code like this. The future is so bright.

The structures you were brought up in had you worship the needle so much that when progress happened, you hated the sewing machine while all your peers started making more things faster.

Imagine if the government forced you to only use their bank where every transaction, for whichever purpose was flat-taxed 30%, in the name of "security" ofcourse. The future for creators is private fandom platforms unmediated by big tech. news.patreon.com/articles/un… @Patreon

"Flux vs Midjourney" content is tiring. The "race to reality" with diffusion models is on like we had with 3D. Who can make the most photoreal can't-tell-it's-ai images etc. But Midjourney is for Art Direction and style discovery. No competition.

It's a unique product market fit, at least so far. Midjourney is the first stop for all consequent AI pipelines, whether you're going to Comfy or Runway/Luma/Kling or even Leonardo next, precisely because of the power of SREF and the artistic capabilities.

ComfyUI is the best thing that's ever happened to Tech Art. Just whipped up a masquarade mask designer AI in a few minutes for a workshop.

Anyone saying this is a Midjourney killer, doesn't understand MJ's unique product market fit. This might be the best open base model to replace SD 1.5/SDXL for sure, far from killer until we get ControlNet, IPAdapter and AnimateDiff (or the next replacement of) compatibility.
