That this is an opinion that some people still hold is absolutely wild. I don't know how one can be a scientist and yet be this untethered from reality:

Since "FinanceLady" can't actually interact with people making arguments: You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, lady. I know plenty of people in academia, and in industry. The top people in both places are cut from the same cloth. 1/2

They build and invent things, they solve problems, and their IQ crushes your inability to make arguments β€” the only difference is the time horizon. Much of our modern tech economy exists because of academics. It's insane and incredibly low IQ to fail to see that.

Lolz you... You think professors at R1 institutions in STEM fields are primarily teaching? Who the hell do you think invented deep learning? Who do you think invented what Al of these companies are now scaling out? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The retention and restoration of the American republic and a return to the preeminence of the constitution and the rule of law.
If gas falls to $2 a gallon, what will Democrats have left to run on?

2+2=5. The sum of any two even numbers is odd.
Atheists are religious people. Atheism is a religion.

There is no possible world in which the majority of humanity just rejects a major new technology like AI. We could have done it with cars, or airplanes, or the internet. But, of course we didn't. AI is absolutely not going away. The question is how we adapt to it.
I am so fucking SICK of seeing the phrase β€œAI is here to stay”. We are not powerless in the face of this. We can simply reject it. We do not HAVE to accept this.

lol; @grok drops a truth bomb and bunch of militant theists crash out in the response, demonstrating precisely the initial request… they can’t handle the truth.

There is no afterlife, no cosmic justice, and no inherent purpose. Consciousness ends at death in an indifferent universe that will outlast every human concern.

I don't know who you're considering as conservative, but it sure isn't Republicans, whi insert themselves & their crap judgements into everything, & tell everyone else how to live & what to believe. They're just as bad as insufferable leftists. Worse b/c they're in power now.
Conservatives want to be left alone. Democrats want to tell you how to live, what to drive, and what your kids learn. That's the whole difference.

False. If you're using agents for this kind of stuff, use Rust (honestly, probably just use it anyway). xitter.cf/GhostOfSocrates/status…

This is no longer a real issue. C is superior again, because very complex pointer and memory management is no problem for a properly prompted AI.

Cool whataboutism bro. It would be a shame if that was irrelevant to the point that Harris is both comically wrong about the proximate cause of the price of fuel and of inflation and also about the law regarding recording in public spaces.
If only the @BaltimoreBanner had the nerve to fact check Democrats like Wes Moore.

Hey @Grok, concise, no spin. Is it true that the Trump admin is refusing to publish an IRS report that reveals the real impact of Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act on U.S. taxpayers? Start with a yes or no.

Andy Harris is an embarrassment to the state (not the only one, btw, but the subject here). We need less of public officials who don’t know the law, and don’t understand the clear precedent on recording in public spaces.
Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

First the other guy comes in here asking why the speed of light is 299,792,458 something or other (it's 1, jackass), and now with this 3SUM nonsense. No wonder "artificial intelligence" took over.
a man dies and asks god why did you make 3sum O(n^1.9993) and god says what the fuck are you talking about 3sum is O(1)

Both, and then they'll hire the experienced developer who knows how to use AI properly but also how to oversee proper architecture and design. Those who refuse to adopt the paradigm shifting tools are cooked. Those with no understanding or skills are also cooked.
Who's actually getting fired first? The vibe coder who relies heavily on AI. OR The experienced developer who refuses to use AI. Be honest.

Or, perhaps, is shows that the book contains a mix of both deep wisdom as well as foolishness; enlightened thinking as well as horrible, archaic and tribal dictates. Maybe it contains exactly why one would expect if compiled from a series of books written by men.
To atheists, the Bible always seems to be good enough to show that God is supposedly evil. But when unmistakably good Bible verses are pointed out, suddenly the Bible "doesn't prove anything".
