⚫️⚫️⚫️ “RICKLY: I almost don’t even want to say anything about No Devotion because it’s so beautiful. On some level, it is the best thing I’ll ever do. And nobody knows about it. It’s almost entirely a secret.”
TY @stereogum 🔥
.@GeoffRickly told us about his autobiographical debut novel, the @thursdayband video banned by MTV, Martin Shkreli, his bands United Nations and No Devotion, running into Ian MacKaye at Rick Rubin's house, and much more.

“Surviving in movie soundtracks, store radios, personal playlists, music recommendations, and CD collections, Permanence is an album that, like its name suggests, refuses to be forgotten.”

The band formed with the issues with Lostprophets and saw former members joined by @GeoffRickly on lead vocals.
Absolutely stunning album, 10,000 Summers is my favourite!
Permanence is 10 years old today. An incredibly important record for us that we are still very proud of.

This album is magnificent and a crying shame it never got the exposure it fully deserves.
"Love Songs from Facist Italy" is an incredible song.

People can do what they want at gigs. The no no’s are violence, bigotry, sexual abuse, hard abuse at us. An audiences behaviourisms are dictated by the domestic/cultural confines they are in. That comes out in many ways that I don’t like sometimes, but there it is. They’ve paid.
