Here’s my report about how Canadian teams have technically outperformed statistic expectations strictly based off Conference Finals and Finals appearances in the last 31 seasons of the NHL.
Their only issue is finishing the job.
So you can’t blame Bettman.

Hot Take : Bedard sees the playoffs once in his current contract with the Blackhawks.
That’s how low I think of this team

It’s 3:28AM and I can’t stop thinking about the Sens and the CTC.
What a team. What an arena. What a fanbase.
Hope they never face the Isles in the playoffs bc that would be unfortunate to root against them.
The love Sens fans showed me was unreal tonight. ❤️🖤

Lion.
Tim Stützle didn’t have dinner with Brady Tkachuk and added he hasn’t seen his former teammate since his return to Ottawa. #Sens
So Ersson and Burakovsky are exactly who everyone thought they were. Staois off season failed to add what this team needed.
Stability in net and goal scoring. Regardless, the team is good but if Ullmark goes down or they're not at the top of their game defensively, they're done

I used to hope Brady would want to stay but knew deep down a trade would be so worth it.
The cupboards were dry a few years ago. Limited picks, low-ranked prospect pool, uncertainty around Stützle/Sanderson becoming a 1C/1D.
Now they’ve got:
- All of their own picks in the first four rounds of the next three drafts + two 2029 1sts and two 2027 2nds
- A premium 1C/1D
- A handful of intriguing prospects + 8 core players with an average age of 24
