The people of Ukraine are largely innocent, so are the people of Russia and the United States. The governments are all criminal.

For all those who think it’s possible to “prohibit” medical misinformation - who’s going to be in charge of the prohibition? The most dangerous misinformation is official misinformation and the only defense against official misinformation is a completely free press.

Somewhere in history &, likely, somewhere on the planet right now someone thinks you are a monster for something you believe. The future will be that way, too, & we can't guess which belief will be the despised one.
The past had very different norms about appropriateness, propriety, & politeness. Everything really. And the future will be different too, & many will see YOU as monster for some belief or practice you have. To think now is the moral end point of history is foolishness.

It’s possible to believe strongly in both individual agency and remedying structural inequalities that make it hard for many to live a decent life. Ideally one feeds the other.

QUESTION Given that 1) people stopped going to restaurants, 2) they kept eating, & 3) farmers are dumping produce, dairy, meat owing to a surplus nobody wants, could it be that restaurants, (because of their need to maintain variety & excess quantities) waste a looot of food?
