Adam.

i almost forgot what warmth was like. my friend, she is the sun.

my final act of love is to let your absence devastate me.

but god, i implore you, kill this hope of mine.

’cause playing god is funny till you have to choose who’s dying first.

fear might be the death of me.

its taste a bittersweet symphony that whispered secrets of the ages.

what is desire but to consume? the only difference between a kiss and a bite is how deep the teeth go. both can kill.

you led me to my death.

he came forth and said unto me, “son, you are forsaken—— condemned for the sins that you led”.

love is flesh, it is a flower flooded with blood.

and all of my devotion turns violent.

he’s the devil in disguise, a snake with blue eyes, and he only comes out at night.

in her tomb by the surrounding sea.

that little kiss you stole, it held my heart and soul.

see how the brain plays around and you fall inside a hole you couldn’t see.

and they’d find us in a week when the buzzards get loud. after the insects gave made their claim, after the foxes have known our taste, after the raven has had its say, i’d be home with you.

the body remembers what the mind does not.

what cannot be said will be wept.

i etch my face upon my wicked flesh. / i am my own devastating god.

and yet, despite it all, you love him.
