Software teams are drowning in AI code slop. Today we're releasing SlopOne, a free research preview in the Qlty CLI. It scores maintainability with static analysis plus Jev, the new System One model from @typesafeai.
In our testing, SlopOne outperformed every available algorithm at predicting the maintainability of code.
Static analysis sees the structure of code, not its meaning. Jev answers the questions a reviewer asks, like "Would an experienced developer consider this code difficult to maintain?", cheaply and fast enough to run on every file. SlopOne learns from both.
You also get a report of maintainability over time. Select the files to clean up, click "Copy refactor prompt", and hand the fix to your coding agent.
Free. Bring your own Jev key. A historical analysis typically costs less than $1.

Just wondering if Denzel Washington will be there for me when I have a moment of weakness and what wise words bomb he’ll drop on me.
Going for a run when you don’t want to — feel like there should always be someone on the other side to shake your hand, pat you on the back and say “good one, laddie, good one.” Not sure why this hypothetical person is Scottish, but stick with me on this.
In case you’re wondering what a 6 year old packs (and doesn’t) when asked to pack for a long weekend.
Dylan’s “The Levees Gunna Break” starts playing at the airport and I’m momentarily impressed with someone’s musical taste until I realize it’s my phone playing from my pocket.
Free idea: a popsicle called The Seattle Freeze Pop. You can have one (in Seattle) as long as you promise we won't be friends.
One silver lining to the global pandemic is that it seems to have normalized talking about mental health issues. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t talk about it.
My wife last night asked me to pick up the New York Times, the Seattle Times and thyme. She asked me three different times for three different times. I only remembered two Times.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about this but this is not me timesofisrael.com/hawaiian-j…

Wife got me air fryer based on @ArmchairExpPod conversations. Now in wilderness trying to make wings. Wife said to just text @daxshepard but I don’t have his number. Help.
Every once in awhile Sam and one of her parents does a “car party”. You grab some snacks and electronics, pull the seats out, and hang in the car for a bit.
I also like to call it “make the neighbors think we’re homeless” but it’s not as catchy.
Starbucks drive-thru idea:
If you own a more expensive car than the one behind you, pay for their coffee.
Yes, I have a 2000 Saab.
Addendum: if you own a Tesla, pay for 5 cars back regardless
One life skill I wish was part of our required education was how to have hard conversations.
Imagine if everyone was good at this?
Ok now imagine everyone is bad at this. Not so hard.
