WHY VACCINATE A 5 TO 11 YEAR OLD? 1. Keep schools open. 2. Keep COVID out of the home and away from close family. 3. Protect the immunocompromised. 4. Break the last big link in community transmission. 5. Reduce the amount of long COVID we see in kids.

If Ontario’s current case counts were to plateau, the average person who is fully vaccinated has a 1 in 266 chance of getting COVID-19 in the next year. Someone who isn’t fully vaccinated? 1 in 40.
