The Coldcard hack is genuinely one of the worst in crypto history not because of the amount of money lost, but because the victims were genuinely careful, did things the "right way", and still got brutally wiped out by a zero day that stole their coins from self-custody.
That's worse than an exchange being hacked because it erodes the fundamental premise of cryptocurrency: that self-custody can protect you.
With that said here's my 2c on how to avoid becoming a victim of this type of attack going forward:
1. Generate your private key using the Bitcoin CLI on a trusted machine (fresh OS install, offline).
2. Import your key to a hardware wallet.
3. Wipe the machine you used to generate your key.
Lastly: don't trust any single method with all of your coins. Good luck.

The birthright citizenship decision may be one of the worst SCOTUS decisions in modern history, the sort of thing that actually foments civil war by fundamentally dissolving the legal boundary of this country.
The "subject to the jurisdiction" clause was never a carveout for birth tourism; it was actually the escape clause to distinguish American descendants of slaves, who were not subjects of any other sovereign jurisdiction, from foreign tourists and illegal invaders who cross the border and give birth.
So the fact that the clause has been subverted to serve the opposite of its intended purpose is a baffling result from a nominally conservative court. This isn't going to lay this issue to rest.
