Bobby Prince has sadly passed away on June 16th, 2026.
He was well known for his incredible work on Doom, Doom II, Wolfenstein 3D, Rise of the Triad, and Duke Nukem 3D, which helped establish video game music as a respected art form.
His original Doom soundtrack was also added to the US National Recording Registry last month.
Rest in peace to truly one of the greats in Video Game music history ❤️

Been listening to the new Boards of Canada album all weekend, reminds me of Nmesh & telepath - The Path to Lost Eden. It is a vaporwave classic, has a similar eerie atmosphere and use of cryptic samples. Definitely influenced by Boards of Canada, pairs well with Inferno.
