To be progressive PM of Uk requires 3 things. 1. UK establishment is your foe. If they get annoyed your are doing good. 2. View 'United' and 'king'dom bits as an unworkable anachronism. Constitutional change is your friend. 3. Do your hard policy work. Do not skim.

Really tedious seeing lots of English accounts who have ignored decades of arguments for and against Scottish independence piling in today.
The dominant argument isn’t over if Scotland is or was a colony of England. It’s about whether the Union does or doesn’t benefit Scotland.
Shocking! And those who accept peerages, should be forever seen as anti democratic and beacons of cronyism.
How are city regional mayors to be held accountable, there are no assmblies to oversee this? Also will revenue go to mayors or individual local councils. This could be a undemocratic mess.

It's fascinating that most Labour politicians are more likely to talk about the class war against the Greens than say employers or landlords.
The class war has a new front: Holborn & St Pancras. Radical rhetoric is easy. Building class power is harder. Polanski’s populism wants to speak for the working class. Labour exists because we organised to speak for ourselves. The Greens want to court organised labour. Labour was born from it. Every Labour activist should come to London and fight for the party built by our class.
